I had to let my sweet Sage dog go this morning. His health has been declining for a while, but he really started to decline much more rapidly over the past few months. He had a degenerative nerve and a wasting in his back end. He couldn’t get up this morning…. Light a candle and keep him in your thoughts over the holidays, please.

Aw, setsuna – I’m so very sorry. Hard to make those kind of decisions for our fur babies. I know Sage loves you dearly for freeing him from his earthly burdens but I know you’ll miss him terribly. HUGS

Thx guys. As a child I had a dream of what the perfect dog would be like. Sage was that dog, even though he came to me later in his life, the 5 years we had together were wonderful. Been a hard year with loosing Shion, Setsuna, Akira, My uncle Mark, and now Sage. But I still have hope that things will get better.

Although my room feels empty w/o him in there. He would always be in there and everytime I walked in he would pick his head up and look at me.

Sorry to hear that. I love dogs and it was tough every time I lost one. But I look back and think of the memories I had and how much joy they each brought to my life and I smile. I hope you have fond memories as well.
