Just wondering… because it looks awesome on them scales, both on the orientals and the kirin.

Notwithstanding my preference with more white than red on the fur (the young oriental is more appealing to me than the adult oriental), I would get a family of kirins and a family of orientals with this scheme for sure.

I had wondered the same thing! It’s an OUTSTANDING color scheme, and I would so love to see it produced for the store if it isn’t too complicated and time consuming.

I, too, think the scales are amazing. It LOOKS too complicated, but ???. I am interested to see if other color schemes with this same technique will be forthcoming. 🙂

Thanks for all the hard work you do every day!

I’m going to guess airbrushing something like that would be ridiculously time-consuming since the scales are bi-colored (and Brandi does a really nice job of not bleeding over). This looks more complex than a lot of the koi patterns, so if they are too hard, I imagine this is too.

Which is depressing since I think this is my favorite oriental ever.

Agreed kiya… I wish I could get it too <3 but it does look too complicated to have to paint in quantities. You have to have a crazy steady hand.

I totally agree! Besides the one ball python oriental Melody did (that DragOn has in her signature box the fink :P…so envious you won that one), the Tattoo scheme across the board has to be one of my absolute favorites and I would definetly buy a Kirin or Oriental set in it!

I was admiring that adult oriental in Tattoo, but it was definitely out of my price range! It looks so good. I’m convinced I’ll NEVER afford an oriental in a color I like on it!

Oh THOSE …( I didn’t know what they had named that pattern) yes they are way too complicated to do in production!
                            Aren’t they great?
