The neighbors have a couple of tiny blue things up and I have some daffodils that are threatening to bloom but it will be a while before we get any real amount of flowers. Probably closer to June, it still freezes at night here!
I did however get quite the surprise this year. There is a single tulip growing in the middle of the lawn, several feet from any flower beds that have tulips. Darn squirrels. 😐May 2, 2012 at 4:10 pm #879551Spring showers also brings out these guys… The tree swallows setting up shop in one of my bluebird boxes. Not flowers but pretty and very much a sign of spring!
I dont have any flowers right now. The forsythia, pear and cherry blossoms are gone. Im waiting for my lilies to start budding and blooming but that wont be until June at least. My trees are growing like CRAZY from the recent rain we have had.

Love your Irises! They are one of my favorite flowers too. I have some giant purple ones that are happily taking over their flower bed and some dwarf purples that have taken over their bed 😀 I also have some Blacks and Reds that I started a couple of years ago that are slowly starting to multiply 😀
Your chokecherry tree… does it have tiny black berries that are poisonous?
We have a type of tree like that that we call a mayday tree and it’s flowers smell heavenly! I wish there was a perfume that smelled like that. 🙂May 3, 2012 at 4:54 am #879610Your chokecherry tree… does it have tiny black berries that are poisonous?
We have a type of tree like that that we call a mayday tree and it’s flowers smell heavenly! I wish there was a perfume that smelled like that. 🙂This is the second spring we’ve had it.. It didn’t flower in it’s pot last year, although we’re told that it would be berry-less. I doubt that, but the one tree expert said it wouldn’t matter anyway because the robins would eat them all.
The swallows are gorgeous. Love watching ’em fly. 🙂
