I love flowers as I am sure most of us do.Let us celebrate MAY with lovely photos of flowers in our yards,homes or just beautiful blooms of all kinds all around us that the Spring brings to us every year.May it never end.

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.I love getting out to parks in the spring to enjoy the native ephemerals. Here’s some wild blue phlox I spotted at Wild River State Park on Sunday.
(click to enlarge)This is my first whole year with a yard. Irises are my favorite flower and although the big ones don’t seem to be inclined to bloom this year, the dwarf ones did. 🙂

The neighbors have a couple of tiny blue things up and I have some daffodils that are threatening to bloom but it will be a while before we get any real amount of flowers. Probably closer to June, it still freezes at night here!
I did however get quite the surprise this year. There is a single tulip growing in the middle of the lawn, several feet from any flower beds that have tulips. Darn squirrels. 😐Spring showers also brings out these guys… The tree swallows setting up shop in one of my bluebird boxes. Not flowers but pretty and very much a sign of spring!
I dont have any flowers right now. The forsythia, pear and cherry blossoms are gone. Im waiting for my lilies to start budding and blooming but that wont be until June at least. My trees are growing like CRAZY from the recent rain we have had.

Love your Irises! They are one of my favorite flowers too. I have some giant purple ones that are happily taking over their flower bed and some dwarf purples that have taken over their bed 😀 I also have some Blacks and Reds that I started a couple of years ago that are slowly starting to multiply 😀
Your chokecherry tree… does it have tiny black berries that are poisonous?

It didn’t flower in it’s pot last year, although we’re told that it would be berry-less. I doubt that, but the one tree expert said it wouldn’t matter anyway because the robins would eat them all.
The swallows are gorgeous. Love watching ’em fly. 🙂

Male Hearth....one day🤞Dream on.So pretty . A canary ? Oh I use to see them . So bright and beautiful .
I love red winged black birds . The male is a gorgeous bird .They do sing pretty . I love seeing them on drives and by the Mississippi River . Egrets , herons , bald eagles and I can’t wait for the gray pelicans to come back .
