Can anyone recommend a good, active forum for vintage or antique item collectors?

It would probably help if you were more specific.

What type of vintage items are you talking about? There’s all sorts of forums out there (My Little Pony, Littlest Pet Shop, etc.) 🙂

Im trying to find someplace that might know something about restoring old stained rubber. Perhaps an antique toy forum, or a forum about antique restoration in general. Maybe an antique car forum? Cant seem to find anyplace that’s actually active. Anyplace where the members might have knowledge of how to restore a delicate old piece of rubber.

You could try the two big pony forums. There are lots of collectors who collect things other than ponies. (that’s how I actually re-discovered Windstone!)

http://www.mlptp.net <–The My Little Pony Trading Post

http://www.mlparena.com/mlp/ <–The My Little Pony Arena

The Arena is a MASSIVE forum with THOUSANDS of active members. You could ask in their "Off Topic" sub form found here…

or in the "friends forum" on the Trading Post

Do you know if it is rubber specifically or just plastic?

Wolfen: The material is definitely rubber. Same feel and consistency as a rubber band! Unfortunately, most of the chemicals that would be safe to use on plastic, could potentially damage rubber.
