I found a photo of the real Potter. Here is a link to the pic on my Deviant art page. http://reptanglian.deviantart.com/art/A-photo-of-three-cats-280617892M

We did test market a few Potter and Butterfly sculptures in gypsum with a stone finish to retail stores…they did not sell.
Which, of course, means those first stone finish cats are extremely rare.
I saw a pair on ebay once; they went for almost nothing! Those were the golden days for ebay auctions.

That is pretty neet. That would have been a really cool garden piece.

                Heck yeah!
How long ago were they tested on the market? I think they need to be given another chance. <3 Since then there are new collectors with new tastes. I wish I would've been around when the Potters were originally on eBay. Until two years ago, if it wasn't at my local dealer, I didn't know it existed.

I don’t remember exactly, but we put them in a retail store or two 10-15 years ago, and they were on ebay… maybe 4-5 years ago. I am totally guessing. Long time ago.

That is such a great story! It’s great how he got his name and that he knew the house better than you! I can only imagine his thoughts when unlatching the window, “Heh, silly humans.” 😀 They say that cats have a story, and certainly did!
