I wanted to ask you if you planned on using the opaque sphere for the store moon dragons ? The color of it definately makes sense for a moon …..I think its a great idea !!!
December 9, 2011 at 3:37 am #864995I was wondering that to. I sure hope that’s the plan. It would be a nice change from the dichroic spheres.
Side note…How about a spectral with those for the eyes – just for poops and giggles. They would make great zombie eyes *lol*.December 9, 2011 at 2:00 pm #865027It will be months before they come to the store I’m sure . A milky looking orb would be great . Like a moonstone for the moon dragon . I want both badly .

December 10, 2011 at 12:10 am #865079Pam has found a few different fancy globes that we can use in the Moon dragon( or Sun dragon too, maybe) made out of fancy glass or natural minerals.
The opalite glass sheres she found are much more expensive than the dichroic globes we use, so they may have to be used for ebay items.
But, you never know. I don’t think she asked about prices for large quantities.December 10, 2011 at 1:13 am #865088The opalite spheres deffinately represent the moon to me & i think would be perfect . Couldnt you just increase the price a little for the dragon to accomidate for the price of the spheres ?? Kinda like you do with the grab bags because of how long the paint jobs take. I dont know about everyone else but i think 1 its perfect coloring to stand for the moon and 2 its another way to set it apart from the sun. Maybe for the sun you could find an orange colored one to represent the sun. Just an idea. But i think if you asked or took a poll alot of us would be willing to pay an extra few bucks or so to have them.
December 10, 2011 at 8:55 pm #865136I would, I think the opal sphere is absolutely gorgeous (and it reminds me of my birthstone) ^_^

They’re really beautiful and perfect for the “moon”. Personally I wouldn’t mind paying a bit more for a dragon with an opalite moon in its mouth-but if it would be an extra $100-probably not worth it (to me)
December 11, 2011 at 12:39 am #865166I think each one was $5.50
December 11, 2011 at 2:21 am #865179Well even at an additional $10 for a moon dragon, that’s really reasonable. Especially considering what people are paying for the retired sun dragons O.O
December 11, 2011 at 2:36 am #865180yeah, the opalite gave a really pretty look. I like them too.
December 12, 2011 at 4:00 pm #865272Is there a picture anywhere of these globes? If so, i would love to see it.
December 12, 2011 at 6:36 pm #865284Here they are on both a black and a grey background. They look best on black.
Here it is in a dragon:

December 12, 2011 at 6:45 pm #865285That looks amazing!!!
December 12, 2011 at 6:57 pm #865286In person they are pale opaque blue with light yellow-orange flashes. There is also a “white” version. It was hard to decide which to use on the Glitter Moon Dragon. Here is the white opalite:
We chose the clear opalite for the Moon Dragon because the white one looked a little too much like a zombie human eye!
