I was looking for images of Kinkajous ( because I just re read Andre Norton’s Cat’s Eye and could not remember what one looked like ) and found this pic of a white Fennec Fox . The person was selling both as pets .
I just fell in love with this little one .
I’d love to have a White Pebble Fennec Fox .

November 29, 2011 at 3:09 am #863900Fennec kits are born a very pale off-white color, and they turn more brown as they age. A white pebble fennec would be really cute though. Or black *cough*
November 29, 2011 at 5:20 am #863907I’d go for this *squeek* >.<
If I ever get any money (and if they ever come back in stock) I'm gonna get one of each color of the fennec foxes.
November 29, 2011 at 7:41 am #863909Absolutely adorable, thanks for sharing. If I did not have a pair of cats I might even see about getting one. Although I am sure you need a special permit for them, and I know they are still wild animals, etc. I did work in a zoo however and have loved animal all my life even the wild ones and am very good with them. Even played with White Tiger cubs up to 1 year, and lion cubs. Fun little ones.

I would love to have one in white, or black. Adorable! 🙂

Cue everyone on the forum turning green with envy. 😉
As for the fennecs, those babies are adorable. I would definitely consider getting a white (or black) pebble one.
November 29, 2011 at 11:00 pm #863955I’d love to have a real one , but I feel funny about wild animals as pets . Pebble foxes are better . But oh those faces . Heartbreakingly cute .
I’d never feel right about having one as a pet .November 30, 2011 at 2:58 am #863978They are like a super-intense version of a ferret. Very hyperactive, and they require a lot of attention. They are not a good pet for anyone who is seeking a cuddly, affectionate, kitten or puppy-like pet, who has to spend a lot of time away from home, or who isn’t ok with having a loud and mostly non-litter-trainable animal running loose inside all day. Sybil has written an excellent care sheet for Fennecs that does a good job of describing their behavior and needs.

Oregon is one of the places you’re not allowed to have them though. Which is just as well. 🙂
