Last month, almost a month ago in fact now, I got engaged (October 25th!).
Not going into a lot of detail(and some of you already know this from facebook), but I DID want to show off the ring! Its not your typical ring. It has dragons on it! More the reason to show.
It was custom made by a jeweler in NY. They have a small variety of ‘dragon’ designs to work with and they do much more beyond that. Mine is 14k white gold with a 1.17 carat leaf green diamond.
I know a lot of people here love dragons… So I wanted to point these guys out and recommend them.
Its a green diamond. A lot of people have asked if its emerald or peridot too. But nope, its actually a diamond. Hard to tell in the light they took the pic in, but it sparkles like crazy in the light. Plus I had another jeweler evaluate it.
Oh that is lovely. I prefer colored daimonds, they are much more interesting in my opinion…but people rarely ever use them. That is really elegant.
Oh cool! Thank you for sharing and congrats again!! I’ll definitely have to bookmark that site! I think that is the first site that has rings I really like (should I ever have to worry about that!). 🙂 I like the non-traditional stone too. Clear diamonds just don’t catch my fancy. Very cool. 🙂
Gorgeous choice! My ring has a green sapphire, but isn’t as beautiful as your dragon ring. I wanted one like that but we had to ‘play’ within our finances. 🙂

Very beautiful! I knew there were blue and pink diamonds, but I didn’t know there were green ones. Its gorgeous! I love non traditional wedding/engagement rings.
Did you tell your guy what you wanted, or is he just super awesome and picked it out on his own? I like that the stone is set down in the ring. Less chance of catching it on something, knocking it into something etc.
