We just re-stocked Lavender-Pearl, Black-Gold, and Amethyst curled dragons. We’ll also be having Blue-Pearl and pale Pearly Pink hopefully by the end of this week.
October 26, 2011 at 1:46 am #860906Was the price raised on all the curlies? I thought they were all $50
October 26, 2011 at 1:56 am #860907looked back at my nutmeg that I bought a couple of months ago, he was $60 so I don’t think any price raises happened?
4 things I'm looking for:
1. Mother Meerkat
2. production color Sitting Young Oriental dragons to be made in more colors besides VF, Brimstone would be awesome!
3. Female Griffin – Siamese with White
4. September Raffle Prize 2022 AHD Male GriffinOctober 26, 2011 at 2:10 am #860909It looks like the price increase happened after the serpentine color, according to the store page.
October 26, 2011 at 2:12 am #860908It seems like the newer colors issued were more expensive, but now they’er all sixty dollars…
Still, it didn’t stop me from buying a pearly lavender one :8)October 26, 2011 at 2:43 am #860910I’m not really into pink and purple colors (EXCEPT for Star!) but I so snatched up a lavender pearl, it looks really lovely, all soft and shiny like a fancy frosted cupcake yummm
October 26, 2011 at 5:28 pm #860963I don’t exactly remember, but I think the price of Curled Dragons went up when we introduced the Nutmeg color. I’m sorry we had to raise it, but even at $60, these little guys are a deal. A lot of work goes into them. Small Items are harder to paint than large items. And all of our materials keep going up in price. We apologize, but sometimes prices have to go up.
There are a few more Lavender Pearl ones waiting in the wings, and then we’ll have to make more of those. Please press the “notify” button on it’s page if you want to know when they are back in stock. Press the “notify” button on the Pink ones and the Blue Pearl ones if you want to know exactly when we re-stock those colors too (at the earliest they could be ready tomorrow).
October 26, 2011 at 6:16 pm #860967Now that you are restocking the ones we spent major money to acquire when will you stock autumn leaf, glacier, opoponax, and silver with blue eyes. Also rainbow, emerald, green, and brown. Please
October 26, 2011 at 8:45 pm #860977Anything still on the store pages could be restocked I think unless they specifically say it’s retired. So, that’s a risk we take if we want to get something that isn’t in stock, but also isn’t officially retired – we may end up paying a premium then see it go back in the store.
Rainbow for the curlies IS retired as far as I know (I think it’s retired for all sculpts), so I don’t think those will restock. Also, they aren’t listed any longer either.
I have seen it mentioned elsewhere that green and brown are short on paint so I don’t think those will be restocked (though Susie will certainly know for sure!)
I’d love to see gold and em pea restock (though em pea isn’t on the store page any longer) – both of those are still production colors, so it seems like they could easily do a run in them! Even if they don’t have COAs. 🙂
October 27, 2011 at 11:37 pm #861078Kia-I know some of the curlie colors have been retired-Emerald Peacock may be one of them. I dont keep up with the curlie news but I seem to remember seeing that a long time ago.
and GRAH! Lavender Pearl is already out of stock again. *presses button*
I only ever had 4 curlies-emerald, russet, amethyst and silver and Ive sold them all off. I’m curl-less 🙁 I’d like to get Glacier, Lavender Pearl, Blue Pearl, and if any more are made, rainbow.October 28, 2011 at 6:35 pm #861123An explanation of “Limited Production” might be helpful here:
“Limited Production” items (like Curled Dragons) are those that are made in small batches, sold directly from us, and may (or may not) be made again. We do not know if or when we will make them again, many things factor into that decision. We could make more next week – or 5 years from now.
Those early Limited Production items that were signed will probably not be made again (I honestly am not sure if there was an official decision not to make them again – and I ought to know! – that’s an example of how organized we are about this stuff ).
October 28, 2011 at 8:53 pm #861154I guess in January the I need to go on a quest for my remaining curlies. I have five left to get. 🙂
November 2, 2011 at 2:12 am #861500Hi Susie,I just got the pink curlie in the mail. She is so beautiful and really
