So last year, at some odd hour of the morning, I was watching TV at mom’s house. She had AT&T U-verse with a bazillion channels. It was maybe 4 or 5 AM, not much on-I flipped to my favorite channel-“The Chill Channel” which has been renamed to “Chiller” and caught most of this BIZARRE movie! It was old-something from the 80’s-a total B movie, and it was about this man who lured women back to his house, got them in the bedroom and…..

      are you ready for this?

      this is the best part…

FED THEM TO HIS BED!! I’m SO not kidding! There was a monster alien creature who was his bed, and this creature required humans to dine upon. It was such a bad quality movie, and so cheesy-thats what made it epicly great! I tried telling everyone I knew about this movie but everyone thought I was crazy! “OK…yeah…sure……….dot…dot…”

Well Im being lazy again this morning, only its a much more appropriate hour-around 9 or 10 AM. I dont get that level of AT&T-ness at my place to where I get Chiller, but I can see what’s playing on all channels.

I saw THE MOVIE! The synapsis caught my attention. Apparantly its called “Pillow Talk” and its part of a series of crazy monster movies.

I found it on YouTube!!!! OMG!!! You *have* to watch this! There’s no blood or gore, just a person dissappearing into a bed-and some gnarly, ugly looking teeth. There’s no nudity, I promise! And Im 99% sure there’s no foul language above what we say on here-this was made in the 80’s afterall.

Without further adu…..the craziest monster movie Ive ever seen

“I respect you. I would never treat you like that.” [takes off girl’s skirt]

            XD

Between this and the Mirror Mask clip I’d like you to design my netflix queue. 😀

Shows like that had good actors too . I loved ones like Ray Bradbury Theater .
Grew up with Night Gallery which still gives me the creeps , especially ep . Fear of Spiders . And Outer Limits .

OMG your story reminds me of one of my own – when I was little (maybe 8 or 9) I remember watching a show like the Outer Limits or Twilight Zone – just a TV series that showed a different mini film every week. I remember that it was a weekend and they were doing a little marathon of this show because not all of them were creepy or scary. Well, there was this one on that I remember VIVIDLY – like down to specific scenes – how it started, how it ended, everything. It was about this man, who, every time he looked into a mirror, he would see this ugly man dressed in all black coming towards him from behind him. Of course when he turned around he wasn’t there anymore, but the monster is always in the mirror when he looks. Well, he starts to go crazy and smashes all the mirrors in his house and covers up all reflective surfaces to keep these visions out of his head. In the end he ends up staring up into the eyes of his girlfriend and sees the reflection of the monster in her eyes – he turns into the monster and jumps out a window.

Again, I was 8/9 years old and this scared the CRAP out of me!! I remember the day specifically because about 10 minutes after this program got done my mom took my brother and me to the toy store to get a toy each – something that we were very rarely treated to. I remember being so excited that I ran out to the car and was sitting in it, waiting for everyone else, and I was frozen in fear because I didn’t dare look in the rearview mirror XD

Anyway, after years and years of a slight fear of mirrors I decided that I would try to find out what the heck that show was! It was surprisingly hard to find, but eventually I found it. It was an episode of Amazing Stories called Mirror, Mirror. I actually downloaded it and watched it and I was amazed by how well I remembered it! But that wasn’t the biggest surprise to me – even more surprising still was the actor who played the monster – Tim Robbins! I had to laugh at that – all these years, and I was frightened by Tim Robbins XD

On some stupid random whim, I ordered a movie titled “Frogs” from Amazon (dirt cheap). It’s still wrapped in it’s DVD plastic. I need to break it out this Halloween. XD

That and “Night of the Lepus”… Yay for 1970’s cheesy movies! LOL!

I still love those big bug movies . Giant ants and spiders . Grasshoppers freak me out and they attacked Chicago . To close to home .
Roger Corman movies are fun too .

Sounds interesting! I’ll have to mark that on my calendar and check them out. I wonder if any of them will be silent films? I like those too-the acting is so over done in the ones I have seen!

One of my favorite 80’s ‘horror’ movies was Monster Squad!
                                Does anyone remember that one?
