First off, I know how much Windstone discourages repaints. I hope Ive properly labeled all the pictures so there is absolutely no confusion.
This poor flap cat was a bad casting that somehow escaped the factory.

His paint was peeling off like skin after a sunburn. He looked dusty all over, and the dust would not clean off. I planned on repainting him for my personal collection to look like a demon cat but long story short, he is going to live with someone else. I have signed his felt pad and written in large purple sharpie “REPAINT” on the felt pad. I am pretty sure the next home he is going to will be his forever home 🙂 (and if not, he is welcome back here!)
He doesnt have gems yet, but they are on order. They will be “Siam” from Jewlery Supply.com
http://www.jewelrysupply.com/swarovski/swarovski_rhinestones/xilion_chatons_1028.htmlNo name yet, but I am calling his color scheme “Black Autumn” and he is painted to look like a Halloween cat.
His body is a solid black, and his wings were painted with Americana and Folk art paint, with multiple layers of Pearl Ex powders in blue russet and aztec gold with some copper paint blended in as well.
Edit9-22-11: Out of complete respect and love for Melody and everyone at Windstone, I removed the pictures 😉 some people had a chance to see them, which is what I wanted, so now this kitty will crawl back under the bed (…because real cats like to hang out under the bed when they’re scared. Mine do!) and hide in the shadows where all black cats like to hide 🙂

September 1, 2011 at 10:08 pm #854957Wow, look at that blending!! What a fantastic job you did on this Wolfen!! The only thing that I might add is a little more character to the face – mainly a colored nose, or maybe some extra gloss or just a tad lighter shade of grey if you want it to still have a “black” looking nose. Otherwise, Bravo!!!

September 1, 2011 at 11:23 pm #854970I moved this topic– just so you know– out of the PYO forum just to avoid confusion. We do have Windstone ‘newbies’ looking at the forums all the time and I don’t want them to get confused about this (even though it says repaint clearly, which I genuinely appreciate). Thanks for understanding!
And just because I have to: Repaints are discouraged because they can create confusion and legal problems for Windstone (and not because we’re trying to be jerks).

September 7, 2011 at 4:52 pm #855637Thank you for all the comments everyone ^_^ Hannah, about the nose-yeah, I thought a silver or pink nose would look good but his new owner wanted him solid black 😉 his gems came in yesterday, but the gem that was supposed to go in the center of his collar (which is bigger than the side two) is the wrong size-by a noticeable amount. I might see if I can find a store in town that carries these crystals and go pick one up so I dont have to wait another 3-4 days for one gemstone.
September 13, 2011 at 5:35 pm #856379A pink nose is fine .
