NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

So for the past few weeks I have been installing my kitchen (I have been buying bits and pieces over the past few years)

So this was it, not too long ago

and how it has been coming along (take notice of my pretty new faucet)

still not quite finished… I wake up this morning to my sister SLAMMING on my door yelling for me! “MANDY MANDY!!! TURN OFF THE WATER!!!! MANDY!!!!!” I spring out of bed and RUN to the kitchen thinking another pipe burst (since during the install of the base cabinets we had cracked some old pipes, but it was a somewhat easy fix) I find the faucet which is GUSHING water OVERFLOWING my sink and collecting ALL OVER THE FLOOR and apparently running down into her house below me!

All my new cabinets are bloated from all the water, and my floor is discolored because the water was practically BOILING! I turned off the water and ran down to her apartment which was completely FLOODED!!! like 2 inches of water in her kitchen, her ceiling falling down and splatting on the floor! I feel SO HORRIBLE!!! The sink would have just drained normally had I taken the sink strainer and plug out before I went to bed. I washed dishes lastnight before bed and just left the strainer in the drain. If I only took it out, it wouldn’t have plugged up and overflowed.

Not to mention we are still dealing with Irene. Our house came out unscathed, but my sister’s boyfriends work van was not so lucky

Now I have to replace her ceiling and he has to fix his truck AND install this >_< I feel like a complete.... I don't even know.... I just feel AWFUL!!!!
