Hi guys! Doing some organizing and I uncovered a few things I forgot I had when I moved last. I thought they were empty boxes. WRONG. I found a scratcher and a lap!
Do you have any squeaks for ways you’d love to see these painted? Keeping in mind that I am not an airbrush artist (I’m not good at lovely flowing gradients with paintbrushes) and that my pieces tend to be strongest when nicely detailed…
I need to round up a few commissions (non-Windstone) and a few trades (Windstone) that I have committed to, but then I can start in on these.
I have a blank scratching dragon and a lap dragon that I have base coated in green but I forgot what I was doing with her so I can change it if need be. I also have a coiled mother and a coiled male dragon to do something with.
Any squeaks?
I’m also going to finish the young and mother unicorns I have with zebra patterns.
And yes, that labradorite old warrior is still kicking around! I will finish him.

Got a busted Windstone?

I also second the squeak for water/ocean themed things. Perhaps something based on a particular fish.

August 10, 2011 at 1:10 pm #853183I really liked the…(and I appologise if it was not you who painted this) orchid and easter egg fledglings-there have been so many “natural” colored dragons, I’d like to see something flashy and gaudy 🙂 But maybe something soft on the mother dragon.
I like that first picture of the fish Wampus posted-is that a gobi?
Or something that’s blue and orange like the last dying rays of a sunset. There are no orange or yellow production windstones, so that would be another direction to go in.

….uuhhhhhh.
I’d have to dig to see.I think a Labradorite scratcher would be pretty! With a dark mask. I like dark masks on the scratchers.

My art: featherdust.comAugust 10, 2011 at 4:02 pm #853202I think some brown wing patterning…with purple interference would be really nice…similar to a griffin sketch you recently put up on DA.
Of course it’d have to be reworked with a dragon in mind…but I think some patterning similar to the labradorite pattern, but with those colors would work beautifully on the lap.
August 10, 2011 at 4:46 pm #853209Oh gosh. Purple. Well, if folks squeak for it! (I don’t like purple…)

August 10, 2011 at 10:42 pm #853245I just love your Neptune Emperor, so it would be neat to see pieces with ‘oceany’ colors like that. 🙂
