I own an Emerald Peacock Curlie, and he is the most gorgeous dragon I’ve ever seen for real. The trouble is I’ve never seen any of the other emerald peacocks, but would like to eventually get a larger dragon to enjoy the variety of colors from afar. From what I can tell some have almost no purple to some that say have deep dark purple that looks blue in the small store picture.

My question is which of the adult dragon(s ) is closest to the wonderful even dark purple to deep blue-turquoise-emerald-goldgreen gradient of the curlie?

Close up pictures would be very much appreciated too!

I have one Em-pea dragon – the male. He has the violet on his nose, on his fore-legs, some on his hind-legs, on the bottom of his wings and a touch on his wing arms. I have photos, but I don’t think the violet shows too well. The violet is hard to capture in a photo I think! Others have had trouble with dissapearing violet in photos too.

With the gold green, he only has it on his crest. He has the deep emerald otherwise. You can’t see that too well in the photos. I don’t have a curlie in that colour myself, so I can only provide you with photos so you can compare! You are right though, it is a gorgeous colour!

I have some outside shots of my handsome boy.

I have a few Em Pea Dragons and so far to me it seems rather difficult to get Scratchers and Laps with the more intense purple coloring. The Male and Female seems to be a little more vivid most of the time.

          Got a busted Windstone?

I went on a 30 minute quest this morning to try and get an accurate picture of my emerald peacock lap dragon. We were inside, in the bathroom, outside…as many different types of light source as I could find! Unfortunately, I failed, but I came pretty close! The color is just so dang hard to photograph because the violet is really camera shy. Here’s the best I could do, though. I think mine has a lot of violet on her, but I’ve never seen another emerald peacock lap in person. So without accurate photos there’s no way for me to really compare. The store I got her from also had a scratcher with the same amount of violet that she does.

Beautiful pics Stephanie!! I think you succeeded in getting the violet to show pretty well – I have less luck with my OW pics ><

Low light seems to be your friend when trying to catch the sneaky purple. Here is almost the exact same pictures, with flash and without, in a room with curtains closed but some natural light coming in from the second story windows.
The color shown in the second picture is pretty close to how he looks.

Oh my these pictures are all so beautiful D: Thank you so much for going out of your way!

The lap has the purple and deep blue on the wings that I like so much on the curlie, but that old warrior is just, *swoon* he’ll definitely be a second buy just for the sculpt.

Does anyone have a sitting spectral and/or a scratcher? Those two are the only other options I’m considering as they seem to have lots of purple.

Lupus, my mother has those chairs and a table and place mats that look just like those! I thought I was looking at her house for a second! 😆

LOL it’s my mom’s house, so it must be a mom thing. The only thing I like about that furniture is it has the clawed feet, so cool.

I can’t post pics from the iPad; so heres the link to mine. I have the intense version. The male has more intense violet; the purple became more subtle afterwards, I think. They made intense violet em pea mothers to go with the male.

Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I have the rising spectral, male, mother and fledgling in IVEP (Intense violet emerald peacock) and they have the deep purple on them but unfortunately they were a limited edition Windstone.
