This is my monthly squeak for PINK fledglings as a LP. :crown:
And a brand shiny new squeak for TURQUOISE fledglings as a LP. Using the same turquoise color with silvery accents as the adult oriental from Ebay. $)
But let them be LP please. I do know plenty of others want these colors but dont necessarily have Ebay monies. Im also really jonesing for LP fledgies in brighter colors than things like Sand.
June 21, 2011 at 9:24 pm #848897*raises wolfy paw in air* SECONDED! That Turquoise oriental was just devine! I’d love that color on ANYTHING. Pink-Well Wampus, you can have the pink dragons 😉 I love my pink lap-so soft and pearly-but in general, pink isnt my thing.
June 21, 2011 at 9:25 pm #848899You cant tell me a soft pink fledgie wouldn’t be freakin’ adorable. I mean LOOK at the chubby sculpt design. It’s MADE for pink! :3
June 21, 2011 at 9:39 pm #848900Well I guess it would depend on the shade of pink. If he matched the lap, and had that little lavender gem in his head, and lavender eyes- okay yes. (but only to have a little set!) Or if he was a darker pink like the “Ticked Pink” OW that Olympia did. I liked that color. The salt marsh pink OW-O.O umm…not to my tastes, personally. I think that one fetched a couple of very pretty pennies, so at least a few folks liked him.
Shell pink was another good one. What about like an 80’s punk rock pink with undertones of orange? O.O OMG!
Or one that is the color of Stargazer Lillies? Totally. But I still like the Turquoise better 🙂
Oh, and Wampus, to argue your point, the Fledgie looks good in anything 😉 As does the coiled mamma with the gold egg.
I hope you don’t mind me borrowing your picture, Wampus, but Melody, here’s a refresher (the above mentioned oriental)
*squeak squeak! (x1,000)
June 21, 2011 at 9:40 pm #848905I have the ‘Ticked Pink’ OW and if pink fledgies matched him, I would LOVE it! He has dichroic eyes though. To me the pink of a fledge would look best with lavender eyes, like you said.
June 21, 2011 at 9:54 pm #848909Ohhhh, a turquoise coiled mama with egg would be so, so fantastic!
Big Squeak for that 🙂June 21, 2011 at 10:00 pm #848910Ohhhh, a turquoise coiled mama with egg would be so, so fantastic!
Big Squeak for that 🙂I second this!!!
But I personally hope that turquoise will be a production color. I want all of the dragons in that color 😉 I would kill for a Lap dragon or Moon dragon in that color.June 21, 2011 at 10:01 pm #848911I don’t think we are casting Fledgies at the moment, so I can put of making the decision about which way to paint them… I was going to try a Serpentine color next, but I’ll do what ever you all want most. I kinda wanted to save the turquoise color for the Orientals, but it could be for other dragons as well.
We are having gypsum problems again, and the fledgie is one of the most sensitive for showing “watermarks” because his scales are so smooth.
On the bright side, we will get some more candidates to make into copper patina.
We HAVE always needed a blue dragon color, and this Turquoise is a nice distinct color.June 21, 2011 at 10:10 pm #848913I don’t think we are casting Fledgies at the moment, so I can put of making the decision about which way to paint them… I was going to try a Serpentine color next, but I’ll do what ever you all want most. June 21, 2011 at 10:49 pm #848917I hate pink, in anything and everything. Except pink Windstones. I have the pink SK, a pink Lap by Melody, a pink Lap by Olimpia, a pinkish Oriental, and a pink Curly.
I have seen pictures of a pink Scratcher, pink OW, pink Fledgling, pink Oriental, pink Keeper, and a pink repaint of an Emperor. Every single one was beautiful. Pink seems to look wonderful on everything. I cannot think of a better candidate for a new color.
I love turquoise, but I just cannot visualize it on a Fledgling, or a Riser, etc. I would be happy to see it on the store Orientals though; it seems to fit them.
Why does there have to be only one new color? Why not have both as new colors? Some favor pink and some favor turquoise. If the idea is to sell Windstones, the more people you can appeal to, the more pieces you will sell.

THIS is exactly why I am squeaking! I want both colors. But as pink is best as LP like the silver, I believe Turquoise would be an INCREDIBLE production color. I can mentally picture every dragon in it, not just orientals! A Turquoise lap would be stunning, and a Turquoise emperor would be jaw-dropping.
I do like serpentine, but its more of a consolation prize. :/ I like bright colorful dragons, like amethyst way more than the earthy colors like sand.
June 22, 2011 at 12:49 am #848924Melody, I have begged for things in the past and I know you are really REALLY busy…but…..
GOOD GOD I HAVE TO HAVE A TURQUOISE ORIENTAL FAMILY BEFORE I DIE 0.o
Like that up there ^ (that’s my awful arrow pointing to the photo above)
I need it like I need air to breathe *gasp* Don’t let me suffocate Melody! PLEASE!!! I WANT TO LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIVE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! …. and have Limited Production Turquoise Orientals!

But it seems like the color would need a little more highlights and contrasts on some of the other sculpts, maybe adding darker blues and silver, that would be so damn pretty.
Wolfen, that’s an awesome visual, makes me like the color more 🙂
