LMK?
June 17, 2011 at 1:05 am #848400Oh dear.. No, I’m sorry π Unfortunately they are cheaper than that directly from Windstone and I’d rather just wait until they are restocked. Thanks though.

June 17, 2011 at 4:24 am #848433OK, i’ve agreed to now split the set so Mother Unicorn and Baby are still available for cost plus shipping. Hannah are you interested? Otherwise i’ll list to ebay. Thanks

Hannah-Im not 100% sure what ppd means, but I think shes saying $140 INCLUDING postage, and insurance-in which case, her prices aren’t too off. They retailed from Windstone for $110, and shipping is likely another $20, depending on where you live, so $130. Since the male is sold out, I just consider the extra as a convienance fee…convienance of getting it now and not waiting until there are more horns for the male so that there can be more unicorns π
Endurostorm-Good luck on your sale!!
June 17, 2011 at 6:29 pm #848466HIya, ppd means postage paid included in the price. I’m willing to sell the mother unicorn for $130ppd/insured which includes shipping and insurance in the total. Yes, Retails originally $110, i paid $120 with shipping and am simply only charging $10 more for shipping though i suspect it’ll be more to ship than that cost. i am not making a dime. This is cost. Thanks for the well wishes.
Any takers?
Mother Silver Grulla sold out – $130ppd/insured
Baby Silver Grulla – $50ppd/insuredJune 17, 2011 at 6:43 pm #848474Endurostorm-personally, I feel that if a piece is sold out in the store, why not at least ASK more for it? Especially if you’re the only one selling that piece at a time. When things are sold out in the store, there’s no gaurantee how soon it will be restocked. I waited THREE YEARS for my large Birman flap cat, from the time she was last in the store, until they were restocked and I was able to nab one. Sometimes its next week, sometimes next year, sometimes longer.
Also, a “pretty” picture helps sell things too. So if you have a lovely patch of grass near some flowers, it might help you sell your unis faster if you take them outside on a nice day and get a pretty shot of them lounging in the grass-especially a cute mamma and baby shot. We are all suckers for “cute” here! π Just be sure to be careful not to get their felt pads dirty. (and also, cloudy days are better for photographs since the light in the sky is soft and diffuse, not casting harsh shadows in some areas and too light in other areas.
Also, if you are not familiar with shipping Windstones, here is a helpful tutorial. I hope I dont offend you if you ARE familiar with the process, but I figure better safe than sorry π

June 17, 2011 at 6:57 pm #848477All of what Wolfen said is good advice! I happen to be one of the people who, most of the time, would rather wait for things to be restocked if a buyer is asking for more (or even the same) as store price. I tend to jump on deals, and on items that I am actively seeking or are hard to find. This is why I had to decline your offer, I hope you understand! Wolfen has a good point though – it certainly doesn’t hurt to ask for more than store price when there are none of that item in stock! I know to a lot of people it’s worth it to get something sooner for a little bit more, rather than later.
As far as shipping goes – I just got a white mother unicorn in the mail yesterday, and although she was double boxed there was not quite enough packing material in her boxes and her horn got bent π Luckily I was able to coax it back into place, but it still damaged the horn’s finish. Double boxing is a great standard, but there also needs to be ample packing materials for it to truly be safe π
