I know you dont like painting any of the hatchers, but will there ever be a hatching amethyst emperor to complete the hatching royalty set in amethyst?
bleah. Don’t wanna.
We are still trying to restock the stuff that is fairly easy to paint! I just haven’t the energy to deal with painting a production piece that fights us at every step!
If we ever get a painter that can be really speedy about it, maybe. I haven’t totally given up on the hatchers, YET.Please don’t give up on the Hatchers; I love the Hatching Emperors and Empresses in all colors. I am still searching for a Hatching Empress in Silver, but I would certainly like to see them in new colors, too …. particularly that dreaded color PINK!
Have you ever thought about taking orders for items like these that take longer and cost more to paint? Paint one for people to see, and then sell them to people who prepay for them? If you know exactly how many to paint and can get a bit more for them, you could afford to have a painter spend more time on them. I would definitely be willing to pay extra, and to prepay, to get the Emperors and Empresses.

I also wouldnt mind paying extra for special pre-orders. You could even limit them. (something like 40-50 and only take that many pre-orders)
A good example of this is the ball-jointed doll industry. They make a prototype, limit it to a certain number, take those pre-orders and the dolls are cast, assembled and shipped and sometimes it takes 6-10 weeks to get what was ordered.
But collectors are patient when its something they REALLY want.
Id love some more hatchers, especially hatching Emperors! Melody, what about making the eggs a different color other than creme? Or putting speckles on the creme egg?
I love the royal hatchers especially the empress. I would love to to her in ruby, fire red, or another red if possible. I would pre order for one. it’d be worth it.
If you made Ruby or Red Fire hatching royalty I think I’d just die! (Then resurrect and come back and order all six!) I’ve felt like my Ruby and R.F. collection is incomplete without them.
I haven’t wanted to sell things like that because I hate having more projects hanging over me to worry about.
I prefer to sell things when we actually have them finished and boxed!
