Do you like light blue-eyed unicorns? Would you be more likely to bid on a paint or appaloosa eBay unicorn if it had light blue eyes? Or less likely? Just trying to decide if I should make more of the eBay unicorns blue-eyed. I gave two grand unis a blue eye color choice last year, but in both cases the winner picked brown eyes, so I figured brown must be more popular. However, a lot of folks seem to be liking the blue-eyed GB unis.
Curses, no poll option.
I prefer the darker eyes on appaloosas but the light eyes on palominos. It depends on the color/pattern of the unicorn entirely.
When I was looking at the leopard appaloosa mother unicorns on ebay, I liked the darker eyed two, but the one with the bright blue eyes kinda creeped me out.

But since you offered the choice of eyes on the grands, why not do the same for the male unis and mother unis?I like when we can choose the eye color on an ebay piece. I like the dark brown eyes, others will like the light blue, making it likely that we will both bid.
Yes, please do some blue eyed unicorns. I love the look of them – I was really happy that I was lucky enough to get a blue eyed grab bag unicorn.
I do not like the blue-eyed unicorns so far and probably would not bid on one with blue eyes. However, having blue eyes as a choice is fine.
I also think it depends on the coloring of the unicorn wether the blue eyes fit or not. I liked most blue-eyed Unicorns very much, but on the Overo Bay Dun grand Unicorn that you sold on ebay a few months ago, they creeped me out. The blue eyes gave him a nearly crazy look…Maybe because of the dark rings around the eyes?
It would be great if you gave the choice between blue or brown 🙂
And maybe there could also be some more teal eyes? :bigsmile:I like the light blue eyes (like the appaloosa mother a few weeks ago, I think she was #2 or #3) but I don’t like the deep blue or teal eyes. I like the brown eyes on most of them though, I don’t think having blue eyes would make me any more likely to bid.
I think the light eyes look better on the lighter colors, and the brown looks more natural on darker ones. I think a choice of colors for the winner is a good idea.
I LOVE the light blue eyes. I tried for the white mother with spots that had blue eyes.
Aside from the eye color she would match my grab bag baby uni perfectly-but the blue eyes looked so great on her! I passed on the matching male because his eyes were brown.So personally Id be MORE likely to bid if the unicorn had blue eyes….or ANY color besides brown or black. The metallic teal and lavender look great too!
I like the blue eyes. My last 2 grab bag unis had them and they are fantastic. I also bought the Siamese male unicorn and his eyes are amazing. I’d like to add a blue eyed momma to my herd.

As far as I know, there’s never been a unicorn or pegasus with silver chain/horn, but there have been at least a couple of light dapple greys. I don’t remember the color of their eyes though.
Maybe those who collect pictures could post some of the light dapple greys?
There has been an ebay silver horned Female Kirin. However, that was several years ago.
