It depends how picky you are. I don’t like rubs, chips, flecks, or anything else; I want any piece I buy to be mint. I never forget any damage that is there, so I have learned not to buy items in that condition. There are exceptions if something is really hard to find, but I still want it to be in close to mint condition; so I would not buy it even for $50.
It is only a good deal if you are happy with the piece. Thus the saying that “beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
