So my boyfriend Josh gets home before me. I call him when I get off work every day. Today we talk for a moment and I hear “hang on….DANG IT BABY GIRL! STOP IT! LET GO!” Now see, Josh is “the snake guy” he loves anything scaly and cold blooded. He has, among other things, an 8 foot red tailed boa he affectionaly named Baby Girl. He’s had her since she was a few inches long and SHE…LOVES him. In a weird way-like a human. I always tease her that shes “the other woman”.
Anyway Im an hour away from home, and I hear him struggling with this snake on the other end of the phone line. “Its already dead! Quit squeezin it”
“She’s not eating my cats is she?”
“No. *growl* Baby Girl, quit being a pain in the butt!”
“Um….is everything okay? She’s not breaking anything is she?”
“*sigh* Well she grabbed one of your Windstones…”O.O
.
.
.
“Um….which one? Not one of the ones in the bedroom I hope” (Ive got about 7 or 8 signed ebay pieces in there!)
“No, shes got a hold of one of ’em on the big shelf in the other room”
Okay great, she’s got one of my griffins (2 of which are LE) or a griffin or unicorn or a retired regular production dragon.
“Lemme call you back!”
So I have to wait while he wrestles a big snake off a shiny thing.
A few minutes later he called me back
“So what’s the news?”
“Well she knocked off the plastic horse…”
“Thats fine, its not going to break.”
“She’s got a hold of your gold ornament holder” (which has my few Nene Thomas faries on it)
“….and she picked up the big Rainbow one” (the rising spectral)
“THATS ON THE TOP SHELF! HOW’D SHE GET IT?!
“Well, she’s 8 feet long. She has 6 feet to reach off my shoulder in any direction.”
“She picked it up?”
“Yea! I thought she was going to squeeze it so hard it would break. I guess she l likes it.”
‘Did she beak it?”
“No, its okay.” *phew*Luckily the only casulty was the arm of one of my faries.
It was an amusing situation and I thought I’d share.
The beauty of Windstones transcends the human experience. No Windstones were harmed in the making of this film.
December 3, 2010 at 11:43 am #832590π Sounds like a typical boa to me, all mischief and mayhem. Love it!
December 3, 2010 at 2:30 pm #832591Thats totally awesome! We use to have a ball python about 4-5ft long. I also love snakes, but wouldn’t be very happy if one was trying to hug one of my Windstones! π
December 3, 2010 at 2:47 pm #832592LOL! I also have a big red-tail, and she had a “night out” at work once (OK, three times). But one day I came in and found the gift shop a total wreck (I thought someone had broken in). I followed the trail of destruction until I had reached my office and noticed her cage top was pushed open. *ooops* She had also crawled through a bin of honey we were draining from a comb. She drug honey ALL OVER the kitchen! π
We found her in one of the cabinets, just peering down at us with this look of “what?” on her face. π
December 3, 2010 at 9:10 pm #832593Bwahahaha! That’s hilarious!
Now we can add a new disclaimer: snakes can squeeze, but Windstones are tougher.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmDecember 3, 2010 at 11:39 pm #832594I’m glad to hear the Windstone is ok. That sure would have been a sight to see.
So I guess we can safely say that the spectral is her new “main squeeze”. π

LOL Yes indeed. Baby Girl is much like a 5 year old. “OOOHHH….WoooooOOOOOWWW! SHINY!!!”
December 4, 2010 at 9:11 pm #832598So, was it really trying to eat it or fight with it? Amazing it could pick up a spectral!
December 18, 2010 at 4:29 am #832599AnonymousI just got a 2 year old redtailed boa….I’ll be sure to keep a real good eye on him after reading these stories XD

Neither really-shes really curious so I think she was just trying to inspect it. “Mmm. Shiny.”
December 19, 2010 at 7:48 am #832601That was very entertaining to read! I am glad she didn’t harm too much…can I see a picture of her?
