Well, I have managed to get myself in quite a pickle financially, and I see no way out for at least a few more weeks. I made the mistake of trusting a business man who I thought was a man of his word, but he is nothing but a self-centered jerk with no sense of decency. We signed a lease for his building back in October, and we were told the building would be ready to move our new business into in 2 weeks. Ha! 🙄 We are still waiting for his contractors (who I can only describe as Cheech and Chong meet Dumb and Dumber) to finish gutting the place so they can hang the drywall. I gave my former employer a month’s notice which I thought would give me plenty of time, but now I find myself with zero income and a pile of bills. Totally my fault for being naive and stupid, but I guess hind sight is 20-20, right?
Anyway, I have been scrutinizing my collection closely trying to decide which pieces to part with, and I am hoping to find some of them wonderful new homes. I decided to start with my injured pieces, since I doubt I will ever get the time to fix them properly, and I know that some of you amazing Windstone doctors could make them look new again. 🙂 I checked the Ravnheart database, and I would really like to get somewhat close to the average prices that were on there. Some of these prices are less than what I paid for them, but I adjusted for the damage. Here is my preliminary list with negotiable prices (without shipping):
White Mother Dragon, a few small chips and dents on her head and neck that need smoothed and the paint touched up on (the worst 2 chips are on her wing and tail) – $75.00
White Male Dragon, a few small dents and scratches around his head and face and a chip or two on the back (nothing really noticeable unless you look closely) – $75.00
Peacock Hatching Empress, the only damage I could see on her is a broken off horn and a couple of tiny paint rubs. SOLD
Peacock Rising Spectral, the tips of his wings were broken off and re-glued (must look really closely to see it), and a couple of chipped scales on his tail. – SOLD
Peacock Emperor, a few tiny paint rubs and one chip across 2 scales that was re-glued rather badly and painted (it is on the bottom towards the back and hardly noticeable unless you pick him up). – $200.00
Emerald Young Oriental – This is the one with the most damage; his tail was broken in 3 places and re-glued, and his foot (non display side) was smashed and needs re-sculpted and painted. He needs lots of TLC and paint touch ups, poor baby. SOLD
Please feel free to email me at lbrant(at)northwood(dot)com if you want more information. I pack well and ship quickly, and I hope that some of you who remember me from way back can vouch for me there. I know it can be scary buying from someone you don’t know, but I have had many successful transactions with fellow Windstone lovers both here and on EBay (I have 100% feedback on well over 650 transactions). Hope we can find these injured beauties new homes soon! Thanks!
Edited 12/1/10: New reduced prices! Also, I will be happy to email more pictures if anyone is interested. Thanks! 🙂

December 9, 2010 at 7:09 am #831942Well, the numnuts went over budget on the building, and things are desperate. Any reasonable offers will be considered! Please let me know if you would like any pics emailed. I am also considering selling my peacock old warrior prototype (mint with COA) if I can get a good price for him. I am really struggling with that, but the bills are mounting, and we still aren’t open for business.
To make matters worse, my business partner has a 14 year old evil genius who hacked into his parent’s bank accounts and charged THOUSANDS :spank: before he was found out. Some of the charges were refunded when the items were returned because there are nice sellers out there, but it still a dicey situation with his bank. They are none too happy about this. The timing is just awful! :shout:
Please feel free to PM me with any questions. Thanks!
