November 15, 2010 at 5:33 pm #831674Don’t think so. The eyes look painted, too.

November 15, 2010 at 8:00 pm #831677I emailed the seller and asked him if there was the name “Pena” anywhere on the figure. Still waiting for a reply.
November 15, 2010 at 9:24 pm #831678The seller says in the listing:
“This is an unsigned, unmarked figurine of a baby Crocodile hatching from an Egg.
The figurine is done in the same style as the Windstone dinosaurs hatching from eggs.”I don’t know if this was in listing originally, but it suggests that it is NOT a Windstone. This may only be to lure Windstone addicts, like ourselves, to look at the listing. 😉
November 16, 2010 at 1:25 am #831679The “possible Windstone” information was in the original listing. It sounds to me like somebody who doesn’t know what he has and is making some guesses. He would expect people who do know about Windstones to know if the crocodile is or is not a Windstone, and whether or not they want to bid. Not an unusual way for an ebay seller to approach a “mystery piece”.

I got that impression, too. It doesn’t seem like they are trying to fool the buyer, they just aren’t sure what it is, so they compared it to the Windstone hatchlings.
November 17, 2010 at 9:50 pm #831681Here is the answer I got from the eBay seller
Hello darjeb –
No, there is no signature or indication of the manufacturer, also there is no felt on the bottom. I got it at an estate sale with several signed Windstone figures and wasn’t sure if it was one or not as I’m not a Windstone expert or collector, I just liked them.
