Morning Melody. I was first wondering how I get involved with the raffles, I am new to the forum so I am learning. Also, I live in Calgary Alberta Canada and the only store that sells Windstones is Durands, (great people by the way ) I had them look into the little rock dragon as he is always unavailable and they said that they could not get him, I have done some more searching and see a rumor about him being available in the spring of 2011, is that right? also I am in love with your autumn leaf color and the old warrior is stunning so I was wondering if you are going to be offering this color again for the OW or any of the dragons or is he gone for good? Thanks for taking the time to read this email. I really appreciate it.
Sincerely

Haven’t a clue about a raffle this month, but to join one, you email Melody (think it’s reptangle at gmail dot com, remove the spaces and replace the ‘at’ and ‘dot’) that you would like to participate in this month’s raffle when it’s announced, and your forum name. She takes all the email addresses/names and draws one out of a hat.
*perks ears* I know that the rock dragons had been out of production for awhile now; they aren’t set up for cement production at their new place in Oregon, and i thought they did’nt plan on restarting it. I hadn’t heard the rumor about spring ’11; that’s truly excellent news if so! (I want a little rock dragon also 😳 )
Don’t know about the autumn leaf, sorry didn’t pay that much attention last time it was out. I think that it may still pop up here and there, in a modified form, but maybe not. They’ve had a lot of problems with red paint, and are kind of avoiding it and patterns with a lot of red in them. If more ALs show, they’ll probably be a different looking pattern with little red/violet in them.September 21, 2010 at 11:35 pm #827491Mandragora wrote:Mandragora wrote:

MandragoraI will try to get a raffle prize pic posted on the blog page ( under “Windstone blog” at the top of this page) sometime in the next day or two.. ( gotta find something)
I’ll put a link to it in the announcement section of this forum, and I usually also put a link on twitter and on facebook.
I prefer that people wait until they see the prize-o’-the-month before entering. This is so you don’t bother entering unless it is something you would really like to win. I do this because some folks only collect one kind of creature, and also because sometimes the prizes are kinda weird looking. I don’t want the winner to go “YUCK!!!”
-at least, not most of the time.
Then, if you would like to enter, email me your forum name and real name and address, with the month of the raffle in the subject line so I can find it. I will pick a winner around the end of the month.
reptangle (at) gmail(dot)com
(leave out the tm. the forum automatically puts that in)I am afraid the rock dragon rumor is a rumor. We aren’t able to cast them right now.
He, and the large rock dragon were cast in cement. We aren’t planning to be doing that again anytime soon.
HOWEVER it is possible that we could just cast them out of gypsum like everything else, and have them be for indoor display only. My concern is that they might be mistaken for the cement, outdoor-safe ones-but since it seems that almost nobody actually keeps these things outdoors, maybe it’s not that big of a problem.
They would have a pad, and I would probably paint them differently.. so, ya know…maybe it would work..
Yes, I keep thinking about autumn leaf color. The original Autumn Leaf is kinda done with. I am still working on it in my head, though. We need a good, stable, transparent red paint to use!Maybe someday.
– :hi: And Welcome to the forum!September 22, 2010 at 2:40 am #827492I, for one, would absolutely LOVE a rock dragon, whatever it was made of!
September 22, 2010 at 4:44 am #827493Ditto on the rock dragon. Cast in chocolate perhaps? :yum:
September 22, 2010 at 6:42 am #827494I sooo want a little rock dragon…I think the rock dragons should be produced in normal gypsum, with the felt pads for identification as “indoor pieces” and should be produced in some of the production colors, like peacock, or white.

I love my Little Rock Dragon and can say I’m definitely one of those people who wouldn’t put him out side. I’d love to see him done in different colors as well. A pearly white one would look really cool, but I’d love to see him done in some more earth-based color scheme to. I know its a pipe dream as far as a production color goes, but I love to see him done in the Old Green 🙂 .
September 22, 2010 at 3:10 pm #827496I must say that the regular rock dragon and the little rock dragon are two sculpts that I would not turn down if I had the opportunity to get them. They would definitely not live outside regardless of the material used to make them. I was absolutely in love with the one that you created with the wing spots! If I could have afforded it, I would have snatched it up in a heart beat.
September 22, 2010 at 5:49 pm #827497I would dearly love to have both and had hoped to be able to keep them outside when i have my own place. In a safely fenced in spot of course, hope they scare the $%@& out of someone 😆 . I would be more than happy though with gypsum inside only ones! I was 2nd highest bidder on the bluespot little one, and still regret not winning, he was so cool. I tried! 😥 😳 And ooh Purpleturtle, and old green one (need drooling icon)… one like the sand test paint would be awesome also- something natural looking.
Ah well, at least dreaming is still free!September 22, 2010 at 6:44 pm #827498I’ve wanted both rock dragons for awhile now… so even if they’re painted in a different color I would still want one!
September 22, 2010 at 8:42 pm #827499I would love the see the Little Rock Dragon in the store painted differently Melody, I would for sure get one..eventho I still want to get the original one still… 😉

September 23, 2010 at 2:38 am #827501I would love them outside and inside. If I had a cement one I would put it outside for the summer and bring it in when the weather turned. But I would like an inside one as well. It could always sit in the garden window and dream about being an outdoor dragon 😆
September 24, 2010 at 12:55 am #827502I keep my rock dragon outside. >.>; Sometimes when I see people saying they would never put theirs outside, I feel like a heathen, but he looks sooo good out there…:D I’ll be bringing him in during the winter though.
