http://www.sarahjestin.com/feedbacklists.htmSeptember 12, 2010 at 11:35 pm #826778I bought this dragon with the russet base coat on without having seen it. I had a leaf scheme in mind, but when I got the sculpt, I realized it was just perfect for leaves! Thank you, Abatos!
He’s lightly antiqued with copper. In fact, it hardly shows, expect on the face; gives him just a bit more depth. I also tried my new gloss finish on him – I normally use satin, but the gloss is pretty spiffy.
Oh, and the white stuff in his eye is still-drying glue.
What do yall think?

September 17, 2010 at 5:23 am #826790Oh, I like this one … He is so unique. π Yes, the leaf design is great, but I really do like his beautiful body color too. He is such a vibrant and striking piece. π

For the body colour, I can’t take the credit! Abatos did this. But I think I would be able to do something similar – I have a very close match with my bronze (or was it copper?) metallic paint.
His owner is thrilled and he’ll be flying out soon. The clear gloss takes longer to fully dry than my satin finish, I find. It’s still a wee bit sticky to the touch and I don’t want to risk the plastic sticking to it and peeling it off.
If anyone is interested, I’d love to use this scheme on another sculpt!
