Update 09/27 NEW Trade for Mint Agate!

lol I can’t believe they’re still making Zim stuff… although it seems to be just Gir in the new things. I used to be a rabid IZ fangirl. I even have a tattoo of the Irken armada symbol (the one of the front of the Massive, not the Invader one). X3~

Teehee~ it was my first tat, got on my 16th birthday. 😀

I was at the mall with a friend the other day, and he said “when will Zim NOT be the cool thing?” and I corrected him, “Well, Gir. I’ve never seen Zim on anything for years”.

If I was in the market, it would really frustrate me. I… really really really hate Gir. Thankfully I got enough actual Zim merchandise when he was on it… but still. It’s not Zim that’s still being made, it’s only Gir.

I’ve met Jhonen twice. Once he was lost and needed directions (lol and I was wearing a Zim shirt and hat, one of those anime styled face hats… what timing) and the second time was an actual signing in my state. He signed my Zim plush’s head.

OMG! YOU MET HIM! I’m very jealous! So was he just like your average guy? That’s so funny he asked you for directions while wearing Invader Zim stuff.

I agree on the Gir being overrated and on EVERYTHING… however… I do LOVE Gir, but Zim most def does not get enough love. I wish they would come out with some Tak stuff as well. I also think the tallest are pretty funny… I have a bunch of the old figures still in the packages somewhere in my attic, back when there used to be items with the whole cast. Even Mrs. Bitters made her appearances back in the day. Our head cashier at work here, is literally the living incarnation of Mrs Bitters so it’s pretty funny, I think of it every time I see her. She’s always SO angry and miserable… but funny at the same time…like a comical demon spawn. 😆

Yeah, he really is just your average guy. When he needed directions, he didn’t mind waiting a little bit so we could get some photos. He was so confused about where to go, and was wondering around aimlessly. And I actually approached him. The friend I was with said “hey that guy looks like Johnny” and I was like “Uh, that’s not Johnny…” and went over and kinda grabbed his arm lol. He turned in surprise and we all got a little laugh. We told him where to go before photos, but he still stuck around so we could get some. I recall putting my hand on his shoulder for one of the photos… if it bothered him he didn’t say anything. This was… years back, so my memory is foggy (like… 2005 or 2006)

During the signing (perhaps a year or two ago) he looked at my Zim plush and said “… wait he’s got hair on him”, “yeah, I have a lot of animals. And even though he’s still in his bag, the fur finds a way” and then he later made a post on his blog about how he was apparently allergic to cats LOL (my plush didn’t have an excessive amount at all, not compared to some of my other fabric items). He was super patient there, because I was with a group of friends. Took forever for one of them to figure out how to operate the cameras, and he just stood waiting and laughing with us about it all.

Yeah, I have the toys too. Two of some. I even have Red, whom I recall was stupid dumb to find. I’ve communicated with Red’s voice actor a few times, and he sent me a signed picture of Red.
Besides Zim, Membrane is actually my favorite from the series.
