Oh NO! (Update, and then there were three!)

It’s 2:30 am so I may have a lot of typos here. Been at work for the past 3-4 hours trying to catch little 5-6 week feral kitty babies. There is 4 of them, but I nabbed one tonight. A little cow one. They are just at that age where I might be able to snap them out of their fear of people. The other ones are a snowshoe/birman looking baby, a poofy black and grey tabby, and a fluffy grey one. The only reason I’m so concerned is were supposed to be being hit by a hurricane sometime tomorrow evening. I have 3 left to try and catch before then! GAH! There’s a momma kitty too, but I think she’s too far gone to be able to live with people.

All the shelters are full. We tried calling animal control and they won’t even come. I’m so worried their not going to survive the storm! I want to get them all good homes. Right now I have the cow baby in a carrier o my kitchen table. *sigh* I don’t need any more animals! I don’t know what to do!

Back at work this morning and I can’t find them. It’s about 90 – 95 degrees though so they are probably laying low. Either that or since I got one she moved them away. I hope not…. We sell have a heart traps for squirrels so I am going to pick up one during lunch I think. I also grabbed some can food and my friend is going to bring by a fishing net so maybe I will have better luck getting them tonight.

The little one I did catch is still very frightened. I need to get some flea medicine before I let her out of the carrier. I also get really nervous that they might have a disease or something that could harm my other cats if they get too close. I flea combed her and I found 6 or 7 fleas on her which means there’s probably a thousand more. She’s very clean though otherwise. Her paws are white and should be dirtier for living outside. I have a feeling someone just dumped them.

How do I get myself into these messes? 🙄

Been here for 4 hours and still no kitties sighted today…. 🙁 I’m really worried I may have scared them off because I got one of the babies. We have a Wendy’s across the street, I’m wondering if they moved over there. I migt check around when I get out this evening if they don’t pop up later on here. I hope they’re okay where ever they are. 😥
