So every 2 years my parents have moved to a new house. We were in one house for 8 years, but I was so sick of it when we left! It was small, dusty and gloomy. It had south facing windows upstairs, so there was a lot of cold light. I guess Im light sensitive-for me, the right lamp or ray of sunshine can make or break the mood that day.
So this October, I’m moving again…but this time…I’m getting my own place!!!
Well sort of. My boyfriend, Josh and I are “officially” moving in together. I am at his place all the time, since March. He found a 2 bedroom apartment for about $100 less than he’s paying for the 1 bdrm he/we’re in now. And its right down the road from where we are now-we both really like this part of town.
So for me, that means no more hour long drives up to Mom’s house to see my beloved kitties and my dog and my Windstones and other treasures, and simplifying life into one location. No more swapping out clothes once a week, no more wishing I could watch a movie that I HAVE but dont have with me. No more selling things and having to go home to get them and mail them. I’ll have my own space to pull all my Windstones out of their cardboard prisons and display them again! Most of my stuff has been boxed up for 2 years when my parents moved to the house they’re in now. We hoped we wouldnt be there long, so we only unpacked necessary items, and a small amount of decorative things.
Having a vacation house must be nice, but I think it must be crazy having a life in 2 different places. I’m so excited! I get to start packing in September.
I keep trying not to get toooooo excited incase something backfires…I have bad luck sometimes.

Its all I can think about ^_^ We will have 2 walk in closets, so I’m hoping to use the second closet to line with shelves for my Windstones and other collections
Having your own place rocks! So congrats, and I hope you love it (unlike me, LOL, I hate my place right now!)!
Update: Well this weekend, part of Friday after work and all day Sunday Josh and I and his friends moved all the big heavy stuff out of the old apartment, into the new one, went to my mom’s house in Tomball, picked up all my furniture and took it to the new place. Ive got a few Windstones in a closet and my Russian Blue exploring everything. Kitty seems *MUCH* happier now that she is getting 1 on 1 attention and not sharing it with 3 other cats and a dog. 99% of the Windstones are still at Mom’s and I’m looking forward to getting as many as I can this weekend.
The new place is really great just because its ours ^_^ They are coming to connect the cable and internet this evening, and we are still organizing furniture and figuring out where everything can and will fit. I will post pictures this weekend 🙂
Love moving into a new place. Don’t like the packing before but the unpacking is so much fun. And we definitely need pics!! 😀
Wolfen, what FUN for you! Wow, I remember the first time I moved out of my parents house: We filled a small van and moved into a mobile home. When we moved from there into our first house, we filled that same van, and a pickup truck. I haven’t left sine, and it’s been 30 years…… I cannot imagine the next move LOL
