        I agree – the bidding is highly suspicious. I hope the winner gets the piece in good condition and is happy with it.

          Wow. $100 over what you can buy them from the store for…

          Wow. Quite expensive, but they haven’t been restocked in a while, so I guess if someone really wants one badly enough, they’ll go as high as they feel comfortable. Lots of incremental bidding by one person though. Hopefully it was someone just trying to edge a little higher and not trying to just jack up the price.

          But it is suspicious that the person had no feedback. On the other hand we all had to start off at 0 at some point! 😀 So I guess it could have been a legitimate bidder and not the seller or a friend under another name like my mind in the gutter is thinking.

            My mind was in the same gutter. o.o;

            But yeah, I guess it could be an ebay n00b who just hasn’t got any ebay skillz. 😀

            It’s nice to have company – next time I will bring the fixings for s’mores! 😆

              On the other hand, the initial bidder wouldnt or shouldnt have bid so high if they weren’t willing to pay it. *shrug* the initial bidder may be thinking ‘PHEW, its under my max bid’ Maybe the initial bidder is a unicorn collector, not a Windstone collector and didnt do their research

                The 0 feedback is sometimes iffy, but as you said we all start somewhere. The zero feedback + high price is a bit suspicious, but at the same time I hate to jump to conclusions. We’ve seen commonly found items reach very high prices on eBay, randomly, before. People sometimes just don’t know the value, or get caught in the moment of bidding, or any other number of factors.

                  All of this is true. o.o I still feel sorry for the initial bidder…whether for his/her ignorance of the current value of the mother unicorn, or for the possible targeting of him/her by a scam.

                  If that zero-feedback person really is just an innocent n00b, I feel sorry for them, too. Because in that case, it’s obvious they’re unaware of the value of the piece also…and because they seem to have a hard time deciding how much to spend on ebay, which is not good for their pocketbook. 😀 Set a price you’re willing to pay and bid once (twice, at most, if your initial bid was the ‘scare off other potential bidders if possible’ plan) – that’s the way to go, if you ask me. >.>;

                    My cousin has been on ebay for years (we all use her account which has always been in perfect standing). But because none of us have used ebay in over a year, her feedback score went down to zero. Granted she still has her “number” of transactions but there is no percentage there to display +feedback. Someone would have to look into her profile in order to see all the positive feedback. But she fears if she does use ebay again, that she will be blocked from bidding because she appears to have no feedback which simply isn’t true. Hate that ebay keeps changing rules over and over and over.

                    Wow, that is a lot for that piece but hopefully the person knows what they’re doing and will be happy.

                      This guy is on e-bay right now… seems like another odd one….. The person with a one (1) feedback bid it up to $250… is there a way for e-may to look into something like that?
