How are your llamas doing? And the garden, did you ever get a deer fence up?
We never got around to putting up a deer fence here at the biz. We were scared out of it last spring by the cost, this year we haven’t got time to fool with it anyway. We have a deer fenced area at our house, but haven’t had time to even consider gardening, though I DROOL in puddles over the beautiful gardens everywhere around us. Sometimes you just gotta give up, ya just can’t do everything!
We still have five old llamas, the remainder of our herd. They are doing well, except for a few problems geriatric llamas get. They are living in llama paradise: cool weather, a huge grassy pasture with shady trees and a nice view, an nice shelter to hide in if it threatens to rain a few drops on them, they have a full rack of hay if they get tired of grass, and supplemental pellets every day… I keep thinking my life sucks compared to theirs. But then, I don’t have to share my bed with an emu.
