Not sure if I can post this here, but I thought I give it a go π³ . I figured it would be okay, considering the majority of money I earn by selling my art ends up being used to purchase Windstones π . I couldn’t sleep, so I decided to finally set up my Esty account. I’m trying to sell my Breyer tiger-corn custom – to start with. I will eventually be adding a bunch more stuff I have made. Here is the link to my current and only item…

June 18, 2010 at 1:07 pm #818093Congrats! I’m adding you to my favorites and you can bet I’ll be keeping an eye on you! π
P.S. I recommend you add some information about yourself when you have the time, since some folk on Etsy are leery of buying from sellers who don’t give details about themselves, how they make their stuff, etc.
June 18, 2010 at 1:31 pm #818094He sure is pretty! Good luck!

June 18, 2010 at 6:20 pm #818098A beautiful job, both in the painting and in the designing/laying out of his stripes. π I particularly like the view of his back showing how the stripes carry over from one side to the other. It doesn’t look like they were matched; it looks natural. π
I have heard of Breyers horses (who hasn’t?), but I have never seen one. A Google search says Breyers used to be “made from cellulose acetate but [the company] has branched out into porcelain and resin.” What is this uni made of? You mentioned sanding, so I am guessing he is not procelain. Resin? And what is cellulose acetate? π
June 18, 2010 at 7:18 pm #818099Hope he finds a loving home!….I really like the paint job on him!

Thanks! I’m pretty sure that my Breyer is resin, and any regular produced ones are as well. Had no clue what cellulose acetate was  . Here is the Wikipedia link for it π .
