I just picked up the second season of True Blood on blu-ray. I haven’t opened it yet, but I’d better hurry; the third season begins next month. Does anybody here watch that show? What are your favorite TV series, past and present?

May 31, 2010 at 1:51 pm #816376I like Twin Peaks. David Lynch really knows how to make TV-series and films with a very surreal, strange feel to them. I like the fact that the mysteries remains unsolved. I don`t know if I`ll ever see the movie based on Twin Peaks, as I`ve heard that it really isn`t very good… I also enjoy Buffy, but in my opinion the first couple of seasons are far better than the rest. I became addicted when first watching it. It didn`t take me long to finish the whole series… π I frequently watch Cold Case. It`s an entertaining series in my opinion.
May 31, 2010 at 4:06 pm #816377Cold Case is good too! Me boyohs really like NCIS L.A. We’re also big time Trekkies. Then there’s The Big Bang Theory… Oh my gosh, Sheldon! *SNERK!!!* BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! XD

May 31, 2010 at 7:34 pm #816378I LOVE True Blood! Yay!
But I also love Legend of the Seeker. I am so bummed because it might not get picked up for a third season, but despite that, the fans are rallying together to try to raise awareness of it, and to persuade a network to pick it up. The website is called saveourseeker.org (or .com).
I used to watch Charmed all the time too!May 31, 2010 at 7:42 pm #816379MetalDragoness wrote:I like Twin Peaks. Monday – Castle
Tuesday – NCIS
Wednesday – Bones
Saturday – Dr. WhoI used to watch CSI but I pretty much lost interest when they killed of Warrick and Grisom left. I honestly can’t get into True Blood, I guess it’s because I read the books first and the actors they picked just don’t match my images…

XD I love cartoons, especially the classic Looney Tunes. I own Ren and Stimpy on DVD because I watched it growing up. By the way, I just posted a spectacularly cartoony webcomic in the “General Art Discussion” section of the forum which was created by Katie Rice and Luke Cormican. (They have worked with Ren and Stimpy creator John Kricfalusi on various animation projects) It’s drawn exquisitely and and it’s so creative, go check it out if you haven’t. :yes:
I was really hooked on the Showtime series Dexter for a while, but I missed a season after discovering True Blood. π True Blood has a certain campiness to it, but that’s alright with me. As long as the creators of a show seem aware of this and don’t take themselves too seriously, it can work.
Some funny caricatures by Katie Rice of Sookie Stackhouse (Anna Paquin) Tara Thornton (Rutina Wesley) from True Blood:

June 1, 2010 at 12:32 am #816385AnonymousWow, I haven’t even heard of some of the shows ya’ll are mentioning – but I have never owned cable t.v. (satellite, whatever) and I’ve HEARD of that Hoarders show which I know I would absolutely LOVE LOVE and connect with ::cough:: lol Wish I could watch it; my daughter got it on her laptop to watch a couple shows, and I couldn’t stop laughing only because I am on my way there (but WAY NOT!). I understand their mind-thought. ……
MY favourite show is The Office. Hilareous oh-so-funny! I like other shows, but love that; haven’t watched anything current, I am watching the reruns lol π
THE OFFICE, hands down! and Up! π π :}
June 1, 2010 at 1:06 am #816386I love my tv π Speaking of Hoarders, I’ve been watching a marathon all day! Love that show, and try to throw something away every time I watch. I know I keep stuff I don’t need (but not THAT bad!)
Let’s see…One Tree Hill, Gossip Girl, Supernatural, CSI, CSI NY, Criminal Minds, Big Bang Theory, Hell’s Kitchen/Kitchen Nightmares, Top Chef, House, Vampire Diaries, Ghost Whisperer, Survivor, Amazing Race, Big Brother…I am sure there are more-lol I have to multitask π³ π
