I wanted to let people who may be looking for one know that there is one on ebay. That would be a very good price for one. http://cgi.ebay.com/Windstone-Scratching-Dragon-Retired-Emerald-color_W0QQitemZ120548547944QQihZ002QQcategoryZ10861QQcmdZViewItemQQ_trksidZp3911.m7QQ_trkparmsZalgo%3DLVI%26itu%3DUCI%26otn%3D3%26po%3DLVI%26ps%3D63%26clkid%3D8884446550653500054#ht_500wt_1182
It looks like the auction is going to a charitible cause as well.
March 31, 2010 at 5:52 pm #809471I noticed this one this morning, and was debating on trying to win it and make it my 1st Windstone. 🙂
I first saw a Windstone Dragon (Which was the Peacock Male) at a friend’s house, and was amazed at how beautiful and detailed that they are. And she bought it at a garage sale for $2.00! 😀Is the Jade Scratching rare?

I am some what partial to the scratcher sculpt and I happen to have one of these Jade’s myself. We are not sure of the rarity of these. At the moment we belive they are. They were sold as Emeralds but if you compare this to a normal emerald the color is strikingly different. He is almost a solid deep foresty green, with a more pearl and light gold chest, and bronzy gold highlights. It matches more the green “Jade” color the Oriental dragons were released in, so we call them Jade Scratchers. From what we know, no one knows how this happened! Why they got painted like this, sold as Emeralds, and how manny were actualy painted is a mystery…so being that we lack this information, no one knows exactly how rare they are.
I can say that as manny as have been seen and accounted for…we have not seen that manny at this point. So I would venture to calling it rare. I really love mine and am quite fond of this coloring.

April 1, 2010 at 7:20 pm #809478If I do end up winning the Ebay auction, is there a post where I could find some packing instructions to send the seller? I don’t want a banged up scratcher. :nea:

Oh, no, not the Scratcher, although I am warming up to that sculpt. 😳 And I’d have loved to win the one on ebay, but no, not him (I didn’t even bid on him…I missed the end too! >.<). I am getting an Oriental. I love the Orientals. That's why I added all of them to my wish list. 😈 I don't have a peacock one either yet…But I found I really like the dark Peacocks much more than the brighter blue ones, and those are hard to find too.
And thanks for thinking of me! I wish I had a bin of blanks to fill my list, and be able to share with others who are in need of them! -
