not suer how long that blog entry was up but I just saw it… and it made me laugh 😆 . How funny. No idea where the corn came from? Which mold did they store in? I can’t recognize it. I love mice and rats personally, I think that’s just adorable 😀

March 14, 2010 at 9:49 pm #808486😆 looks like a cozy spot for a mouse, i’d say.
March 15, 2010 at 2:11 am #808487Pretty ingenious little fellows. I would have liked to have seen your face when you opened the mold. 😆

March 16, 2010 at 4:48 am #808489Precisely whatis that mold for? I don’t see a resemblance in any way to anything I own…Just some weird talon looking shapes. 😮 It’s sorta like the old game we played where someone took a closeup pic of a part of some random sculpt and we had to guess where it came from. 😀

I think it’s either the gargolye foot or gryphon foot candle holder. (Look at the candle holders section of the store)
March 16, 2010 at 6:49 am #808491I was wondering the same thing. Kyrraven’s guess looks about right.

This was an owl bookend mold. I have no idea where the corn came from! Each kernel had the germ eaten out of it, so I think this mold was more of a trash can than a pantry!
I am a devoted rat and mouse lover too! I still have my hand raised baby mice we found orphaned here at the shop.March 16, 2010 at 6:47 pm #808493Jasmine wrote:Now I feel bad for poor little mousie. This mold was his trash can I think. Each kernel already had the germ eaten out of it , so this was the part the mouse ( or whatever) didn’t want.
March 17, 2010 at 5:40 am #808494awww. I raised a baby mouse one time to. My chickens found it first and pecked a hole in his nostril 🙁 . I nursed him back to health and bottle fed him and then returned him to under my chicken coop so he could steal more grain 😀 . I wish I could have kept him but my sister is deathly allergic. Rats were my favorite pets growing up though
March 17, 2010 at 7:01 am #808495Why anyone would want to help preserve the vermin race is beyond me… 😳
March 17, 2010 at 9:36 pm #808496Well, I certainly don’t believe that any “race” of animal should ever be wiped out unless its some invasive species that is devastating the natural flora and fauna (Chinese carp for ex). Mice should be controlled where they cause problems (like in our factory) but I think they should be left alone where they are not causing anyone any harm.
March 20, 2010 at 4:50 am #808497Yes every creature plays a part… even if we don’t like them they are necessary for something. The ones that used to live in our chicken coup never caused a problem… never would have known they were there except for when that poor baby got dug up out of his nest accidentally
