Yes they are.That actually was my point.We are so very small in the wide,wide Universe.I have been painting “cosmic” lately and I found these.My husband collects pics from MissCellania,FunnyPics and sites like these,all over actually.There are a few more that go all the way up to the largest “known”star and we are a speck of sand,if that,a molecule in comparison.Our Sun[Sol]is so very tiny next to it.I find that absolutely amazing. 🙂

great images! it definitely puts it in perspective. you know, when i’m having a rough day or stressing about something lame, i like to go out and look at the stars (the few that can be seen this close to L.A.) and think about how much it *really* matters. in the grand scheme of things, its not all that important. kind of calming i guess.
