Happy Birthday!!

Thanks everyone. I’ve had the day off – I get a day off for my birthday, but I called in sick… upper respiratory infection, so I got lots of ‘Happy Birthdays’ at the doctor’s office. Meds are good though and I got my sunrise lap dragon (thanks to Machineguts) and two windstone cafe press tiles from dragonmedley (from the Christmas swap… they originally arrived broken to her, so these are the replacements) in the mail that I’ve been wanting for a while, so it wasn’t too bad of a day. 🙂

The brother wasn’t around (he wanted steak for his birthday dinner), so we did birthday stuff without him, since he hasn’t bothered to come home yet (and he should be… he borrowed my dad’s truck *sigh*). Just his steak dinner, my mom singing happy birthday rather cheesily (totally made that word up), a small chocolate mayonnaise cake, and a couple of cards (my uncle stopped by to drop off our cards and was on his way to deliver one to my younger cousin, since it’s his birthday too). Watched some WWE with dad (it’s cheesy, but he likes watching it for that reason), Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe, Two and a Half Men, How I Met Your Mother, new episode of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations, taking the dog to the vet (he has Conjunctivitis = Pink Eye), and packing away Christmas ornaments. Just a pretty low key day. 🙂 I get my dinner some evening when I’m not working and everyone is feeling better to go out to the family style Italian place I want to go to and the parents have wanted to try (I can’t go alone… all their plates feed two or more, so you’re supposed to share!). I’ll get a present eventually (a windstone of some sort… was thinking a Sugar Plum Poad, but they haven’t appeared, a wolf candlelamp, or a pyo SK, if I can ever catch one of those elusive things 😛 ).
