Sometimes I hide–I’m not hidden now as I post this, but if I’m only going to check a PM and that’s it, I’ll be hidden. Depends on my mood.
I’m hidden, but not because I’m trying to be stealthy (really I talk way too much for that!) but I often leave a Windstone Forum window ‘up’ while I do other work, and seeing me as ‘on’ the forum all the time would be misleading to those that might try to contact me.

My art: featherdust.comI don’t, but I will randomly stay logged in (like at work, but if I get busy, the window will be up, but I might only get 10 minutes the entire night on the forum, or log in and not look at it at all, even if I am logged in. Kind of the opposite in a way. Listed as online, but half the time I’m not even really here!
Not like anyone is going to bother me so why hide? And it’s not like you’re not going to notice if I suddenly post in a thread. 😀
I think the forum only lists the names of those who’ve been active over the last five minutes anyway, so it doesn’t really matter to those viewing the list on online members whether you log off or just ignore the forum. I generally log off because I check posts via newly added posts and that shortens the list.
