How many blue/orange/yellowish KiRin’s have been painted? That would be blue fur and the orange/yellow on the scales. I would like to know, I just repainted one of mine with those colors and I wanna make sure it doesn’t look like a copy to anyone elses since I wanna say I have seen one, yet I cannot find a picture of it. Maybe it was a dream but I wanna make sure. πŸ˜‰

IF you have painted a KiRin in those colors, could you please post them in this thread???

      Thank you!!! :hi:

Wasn’t a dream, I found the KiRin in question and I think I am safe…

Bayoudragon’s PYO’s thread pg 4. Very pretty KiRin but I think mine is different enough not to worry… mine is in metalic colors. I tried not useing the blue but I had to break up the colors… I’ll post pics here soon and y’all can judge…. πŸ˜‰

Purty πŸ˜€ ! I love color ‘opposites’ work. So bright and vibrant πŸ˜€ .
I would’nt worry so much about if it looks similar to another peice that was painted before. Your own personal style will make it unique. It’s kinda funny, Your before pic looks alot like a kirin I did myself. I never posted him, but dispite his similarity to yours it’s still ‘different. You know what I mean  . The styles will always be unique….

Perhaps if you tried a bit of darker blue coming in from the tips of the mane and tail? Or fading outward…Or maybe antique him? I dunno, I think he looks pretty nifty just like he is! But I’m not doing a side by side… πŸ˜•

Besides, mine is a more navy-violet color. Purple never photographs well… πŸ™„ There are also subtle details that aren’t showing up in the photo (interference, antiquing, and dry-brushing throughout the piece). And I use so many layers… so unless you actually had my piece right next to you to copy off of, it will never look the same.

Don’t worry and paint away!! πŸ™‚

Thank you! πŸ™‚ I feel better now with your words. πŸ™‚ I antiqued him (such a pain in the butt) and then dry brushed gold over him… once I get pictures uploaded I’ll post pictures. I am pleased with the way he came out. And yes Purple is a pain to photo! πŸ™„ But there is zero purple on mine! πŸ˜‰
