I just wanted to share some of the good movies I have seen lately. I will tell you the best I have seen this year was The Blind Side. It was funny and heartwarming. New Moon was cheesy, but good if you enjoy the books. If you are not a fan, I dont recommend it. I just saw Avatar last night, and it was great. Long, but it kept both me and my son entertained the whole time.
Has anyone else seen any good movies they would recommend?
December 19, 2009 at 6:09 pm #499851December 19, 2009 at 6:18 pm #796746I’m not exactly on the cutting edge of the latest movies [or anything else for that matter] but I did see reviews for Avatar and thought it would be interesting to see. Someone posted a link to a trailer for ‘How To Train Your Dragon’ and I definitely want to see that! The stuff I probably see now is old hat–but I love animated stuff–recently saw Ice Age and that made me laugh! So I’ll keep an eye out here for movies everyone has seen–might get this old gal out to the theaters again! 😀
December 19, 2009 at 9:31 pm #796747Saw the Princess and the Frog last weekend. Was really cute. One of the better Disney movies to come out in a while.

I agree! Was nice to see them return to the hand drawn animation for the movie as well.

December 20, 2009 at 3:25 am #796750I want to see Avatar and Sherlock Holmes this month. Next year, it’s How to Train Your Dragon and Alice in Wonderland. 🙂

December 20, 2009 at 4:01 am #796752I just watched the trailer for “How To Train Your Dragon”.
Is it just me or does the dragon look a bit like Stitch?
December 20, 2009 at 4:11 am #796753I also want to see Avatar and Sherlock Holmes, going next weekend with the bf to see Avatar! I really enjoyed Valkyrie and Inglorious Basterds (if you can call them recent) and 2012 was better than I expected.

Probably because the guy that designed Lilo And Stitch is Chris Sanders, who is also working on this move. 🙂

Saw the trailer for ‘How to Train Your Dragon’ and now I’m really looking forward to that too (as well as ‘Iron Man 2’ and ‘Dawn Treader’…)

December 20, 2009 at 9:11 pm #796758i haven’t been to the movies much at all lately (15 month old toddler to blame and no local grandparents to sit) but I am definitely making it a point to see Avatar in the theater! last thing we saw in the theater was the latest harry potter (yes, that is how often we get out!!) but, we have a date night already lined up for alice in wonderland for sure. that looks awesome!
and yes, i think i actually DO live under a rock because i had never heard of “how to train your dragon” until you guys mentioned it… 😳 will be looking at the trailer RIGHT now… hehehe..
