I just painted my first Breyer. I had a booklet from the breyer company for a long time that went over how to custom paint and customize, and I have seen some awesome jobs..so I have been looking forword to trying it out.
any one else here do custom paints? Here is mine. I went with a wildier look, Tiger-ish stripes.
I have two more I am contemplating colors for…I have more compasite photos of it here: http://koishii-kitty.deviantart.com/art/Magpie-Tiger-Poney-146444909

The following links are from pieces I painted ~10 years ago (yes, yes, I’m really old LOL ). A couple years ago I started playing around with painting breyers again, but I’ve been aiming for realistic color schemes and haven’t produced anything worth photographing yet.

yes, i plan on selling. i’m just not sure how i’m going to do that yet.December 24, 2009 at 10:44 pm #795914Wow, that’s sooo cool. I love your ability with patterns. Makes me very envious of your talent π . I love breyer customs. I’d like to do some breyer re-paints and even some re-sculpting to. I Bought several used and damaged breyers from ebay with that intent – but I haven’t had the motivation to start one yet π³ .

Oh, all 3 of you who’s names appear in that quote have got more talent in your pinkies than I can dream of having. You have all atleast half a dozen times left me speechless from opening one of your PYO threads. π And oh how I love to look at them! π
December 29, 2009 at 6:31 am #795918Awfully kind of you to say so, WSC, but the fact is that you’re a more precise and careful painter than I’ll ever have the patience to be. I could never get a straight line on a textured surface. π
