Misadventures & Fun Costume Pics

I was going through my photobucket tonight and realized I’ve gathered up a decent amount of costume pictures from cons and events I’ve gone to so I figured, for fun, I’d post some of my misadventures here for everyone to take a gander 😀

LOL! This was my very first fursuit I made. I used SPark’s tutorial and accompanied my sister to Stop and Shop for some fun!

Here is one of me in my Toboe suit last year. He’s a character from an anime called Wolf’s Rain. Siberakh1 & I went to a costume contest in Boston where I won 1st place! *woohoo* Afterward I had to stop and grab dog food and a few other snacks at Rite Aid… it didn’t take long to realize I was buying dog food in a dog suit and it became a pretty funny photo op. The cashier was pretty surprised and laughed the whole time she checked me out!

My sister and I went to a KISS concert with my step brother and his wife about a month ago. I did all of our make up, so can you tell which one is me?

Oh! Here’s one of me and Shaun at Anime Boston earlier this year. I was Tora, the fella on my avatar!

I’m also working on a Pokemon costume for next years con. Any guesses who he is?

Actually, I find it more funny people will go out of their way to pretend “NOT” to notice! LOL! That day it was really close to Halloween so it was kind of more “socially acceptable” but I get more people giving me compliments then anything, but I do get my share of weird glances from people who think I’m a pervert or something. I just brush it off though. It’s fun! I feel like I’m on a TV show when I wear them. I’m usually shy in crowds, but in the suits, nobody knows it’s you so it’s easy to act like an idiot with no fear of repercussions!

That is a perfect pic of Shaun. I see Ceal is getting some more wear out of her Yuki Kuran costume and isn’t too mad at the Hellhound for attacking her at AB chess. 😉

I know the pokemon. I need to order my fabric next month for mine! I want to get it mostly done in time for January/February. 🙂

Oh yea, I let Ceal beat on me for a while at first with her staff. (she wanted her revenge for me killing her during chess) but after that we played nice for a while and I even got a tummy rub!

I didn’t make the Hellhound, and I didn’t make most of the quad suit. I actually bought them from other people on a ebay-ish site called Furbid. Oh, I got the red and black cat head from there too, but I made the rest of the parts to him to match. I always wanted a Hellhound suit and I got it for a great deal, and I wanted to start making quad suits, so I figured refurbishing one would be a good start!

I take FOREVER to make them! I have so many things going on at one time I get sidetracked a lot. If I really focused, I could finish one in a month probably. I’m working on two of my own quads right now, but I have no plans to be finishing them before 2010 maybe even later. Bah!
