It’s 8:45 and it’s about 89 degrees here at the BEACH. At NIGHT. (Normal during the summer is about 65-70 I think.)
Who else is too warm for comfort? 😡 I know I’ve probably got it the least bad.
August 29, 2009 at 3:49 am #499113August 29, 2009 at 4:41 am #780937umm no its getting cold out up here, down right chilly in the evening now 🙁
August 29, 2009 at 1:07 pm #780938We’ve had frost every morning for the past 2 weeks and the trees are starting their ‘wardrobe’ change. We’ve actually run the furnace a bit this week…

August 29, 2009 at 5:14 pm #780939It got to 101 degrees yesterday where I live. It’s supposed to cool down to 89 today ut we’ll see. Right now I have a fan on me (don’t have AC) while I’m on the computer. When I’m finished, I have to turn the computer off because I can hear the motor straining when it gets hot. We get heat waves that go over a 100 now and then but I HATE it when it gets hot! 89 at the beach–will burn the soles of your feet on the sand ug! :shout: And yeah, milk is a bad, bad idea–I have a big jug of iced tea–now that’s more like it! 8)
August 29, 2009 at 5:27 pm #780940We’ve been having an extremely mild summer here in the Florida Panhandle. Average temps for me lately have been highs in the upper 80s and lows in the mid 70s. The humidity can be a bit of a killer. Right now it’s 87, but it feels like it’s 95.
August 30, 2009 at 5:02 am #780941it was 97 degrees here today when I left to walk to work 🙁 ugh, I was sweating all day at work because they have the air conditioning up just enough to keep the customers who lazily walk around the store happy and the rest of us who are working and running around sweat to death.
August 30, 2009 at 7:24 am #780942Blech! All of CA is scorching! It got up to 101 here today less than a mile inland from the ocean, that is UNHEARD of. I think we may have broken a record.
August 30, 2009 at 6:11 pm #780943Well, it didn’t cool down much for us yesterday–was 100 degrees! Today does seem much cooler–have all the windows open and it feels cool. Yesterday had fans going, but today it much more tolerable! I like hot food not hot weather!
August 30, 2009 at 8:06 pm #780944The heat isn’t helping the wildfires in Southern California, either. Luckily, it’s supposed to cool down today.
August 30, 2009 at 8:59 pm #780945We’ve had a beautiful summer here in southeastern FL. It has stayed in the 80’s but has rained at least once a day – Mother Nature is making up for the last few years of droughts.
August 31, 2009 at 8:00 am #780946it was 106 in vallejo and I was taking a chp course and had to wear full gear….I nearly passed out from heat exaustion and they forced me to reschedual…It was an aweful weekend for me. After being booted I took the dog for a walk and then drank and passed out 🙁 It’s hard to say how angry I am…I’m ok in heat just not when dressed like an eskimo.
August 31, 2009 at 11:07 pm #780947You should come to upstate NY now then, and break out the jacket! We’ve got frost advisories about 30 minutes north of my house. 😀 (NO, this is not normal, but I’m happy with it… plus it ISN’T raining for once, which was also not normal this summer).
September 1, 2009 at 8:13 am #780948Well, it is currently 1am right now, and it’s 90 degrees where I am… and it’s suppose to be 106 degrees tomorrow. How’s that for hot? 😛 And here since I’m paranoid of the sun, I wear a jacket outside all the time no matter how hot it is.
September 1, 2009 at 11:49 am #780949Blah I should not have commented on this…that same day we got up to 28 or something…82 for the americans, and it has not let up, its too damned hot 😈 .
