WOW! You guys are awesome! This is the first forum I’ve ever joined that actually welcomed me before I posted! 😳
I’m very happy to have found you all! I’ve recently started hunting down the Black Unicorn family; I’ve wanted it for years but have not been able to get my hands on any of them. I am hoping that will change soon! There are two males on ebay right now. *crosses fingers*
I do have one Windstone; Grimalkin who sits on one side of my fireplace while my fat cat sculpture (http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/mfa_2067_358593596) sits on the other. I dig em.

Welcome and good luck on getting the Black Unicorn family! Windstone did make a few Grand Unicorns in black, but they are harder to track down. I know you made mention of that in the Flea Market Wish List.

Thanks for the welcome! Awesome on the Grand Unicorn in black; I will keep my eyes open for it! Think I’ll have an easier time about it now that I found this place! 😀
The operative word is few. From what I can remember 5 were sent to stores for test marketing. When it was decided not to sell the black Grand Unicorn in stores there were something like 13 left at the factory. They were auctioned on ebay. I believe Melody kept 1 for the factory. I can only remember 1 ever being on ebay for re-sale and it was not sold as the reserve price was not met.
Pegasi maintains the database for this stuff. She may have more complete information. This link will take you to the page where the database link is found.

Welcome! Lovely costumes and such a lovely horse! Cool on the SCA. A bunch of my coworkers are in that (Barony of Concordia of the Snows, part of the East Kingdom in Æthelmearc). I’ve had one of them bug me to join, but I just don’t have the time at the moment.

SCA can be really time consuming; since Hubby and I are the current King and Queen we’ve been going non-stop since May with only a weekend off here and there. We just went through our last free weekend just now and have events all the way to the end of November.
Every. Single. Weekend.
But I get to wear a shiny hat so it’s ok. 😉 We were just up in the East Kingdom at the beginning of August; if you ever get a chance to go to Pennsic do go. It’s awesome!
