Hello all! Briefly I’m female, 31 years old (as of the 10th, happy b-day to me!), and I’ve loved fantasy creatures since I was about five. Windstone has always been my No.1 favorite sculptures because they are so expertly crafted and the paint work is fantastic. I applaud Melody Pena and all other artists who work on these. (Melody, thanks for bringing us fantasy lovers such high quality works of art!)
Let’s see I only have a small collection right now but I aim to get more when I can. 🙂 I have a hatching baby dragon (emerald?), a young peacock dragon, a curled peacock around the crystal ball, a baby ki-rin, and my prized possession, an emerald (it has red eyes) scratching dragon. He’s so purdy. I never get bored of looking at that beauty.
My “dream” is to own a secret keeper or spectral. I like them BIG. (LOL) I love the store but so many things are out of stock! My goodness Melody you must be one proud person. Your sculptures sell like hot cakes!
I will be checking often to see what comes back in stock.I will post pictures of my collection some time later. 🙂 Thanks to anyone who read this and feel free to chat with me!

This forum is full of supporting, helpful, and considerate people and I’m glad you became a part of it. I hope you like it here!
August 13, 2009 at 4:09 pm #779841Hi there! I turned 31 on June 18. Your introduction sounds a bit like one I could have written myself.
Part of why so many items are out of stock in the Windstone store is they moved from California to Oregon nearly a year ago and have been having some issues getting back up to full production since then. Some of the problems include things like paint acting weird (Red Fire dragons fading) and the gypsum used to make the statues being “bad”.
August 13, 2009 at 4:35 pm #779842I am sorry to hear about their production issues. 🙁 I hope they can manage to fix the problems soon! I would hate to see no more Windstone! :shout:
Hey another 31 year old! LOL So at least I know I’m not the only 30something here. XD I don’t think I’ll ever get bored of fantasy I’ll probably be talking about dragons until I’m 80 , should I live that long! 😀

Thank you! 🙂 I hail from New Jersey but I HATE this crowded state.
YES they are addictive. If I was a richer person I’d probably have more of them, a LOT more! 😀August 13, 2009 at 7:24 pm #779845A common lament!
August 13, 2009 at 10:51 pm #779846:hi: :hi: :hi: You’ll find that your collection will grow rapidly… I only had one Windstone when I joined the forums! I def have more than one, now though 😳 (I just don’t know an exact number as I haven’t counted ’em lately… 😕 )

August 14, 2009 at 9:27 am #779849Hello and Welcome!
August 14, 2009 at 1:51 pm #779850Thank you all for such a nice welcome!
To be honest Windstone are all I want to collect anymore, unless I find some other really nice sculpture I like, but it’s hard to top a Windstone!
I have not purchased one in several years, my scratching dragon (which I believe is Jade, not Emerald, and is retired!) was purchased like back in 2000 or something like that, I can’t even remember to be honest so it’s been a while! When I got that one I had it on layaway and was paying about $10 per week until it was paid off! I couldn’t wait to take it home!
I’m looking to add a male or lap dragon next.
I’d also love to add one of those gorgeous griffins! 😉August 14, 2009 at 5:44 pm #779851Bit late, but welcome!
I haven’t been on much lately (as I work and stare at a computer all day… why I would do it willingly at home I don’t know)…
But I had maybe 2 or 3 windstones when I joined up here… now it’s more like 10 or 15! And I got my emeror, he’s beautiful, and was repaired by the ever talented Kyrin.
It’s like an addiction, only worse. Our counsellors aren’t good at saving your poketbook…. they just encourage the addiction. Speaking of which, I think they’re all busy at the moment…
