Just how much beer did you drink Melody, to make your toilet seem so interesting? 😆 😆 😆
In all seriousness, I laughed because I sell Kohler Toilets at Home Depot! XD

In all seriousness, I laughed because I sell Kohler Toilets at Home Depot! XD Hey, I just had one. I can’t draw after I’ve had two. That drawing is wrong though,I messed up the perspective .I got two different “vanishing points” going on there. It was too hot to nit pick. Toilets are very interesting. Have you ever taken a ceramics class? If so you know how hard it is to make something large out of ceramic and not have it crack or warp in the firing.. a toilet is a huge chunk of high fired porcelain. I am amazed that those square tank parts don’t warp like crazy.
And all that stuff inside! I don’t know what most of them do. What is that tube for; the one that sticks up with the little water hose attached??
So then I checked out all the toilet tanks in the house, and they are all different. This one was the best.August 1, 2009 at 5:25 pm #777978Melody, you remind me of my oldest cousin Paula sometimes… 😆

August 1, 2009 at 7:49 pm #777980Actually, funny you ask, my mother was a ceramics teacher for over 35 years! LOL! I guess I never really thought about them possibly warping or cracking, but I’m sure they must have it down to a science in some giant kohler crapper factory 😆
Well, the tube you’re talking about sounds like the overflow tube, all it does is prevents the tank from flooding (overflowing) when you’re toilet runs. 🙂
Though lots of them look different inside because of the style or brand of the toilet, they all basically have the same parts since they all do the same job. Some are just fancier then others with different copyrighted parts… One piece… two piece… elongated, round …. oh yea, rough in too, which is how far back your bolts in the base of the toilet are from the wall, 10″ 12″ etc… (I feel like I’m at work, LOL)
…plus it all depends on whether your an “average” person and are going to use your toilet for “average” things, or you want to flush golfballs down your toilet. Not that anyone should ever need to, but apparently lots of people want that option! 😀

You can get special toilets for golfballs? I want one that will handle the stuff we found left in a freezer we moved with us… which wasn’t emptied…

August 2, 2009 at 1:51 am #777983Toilets for golf balls–must have been a real bad, bad game! I remember when my husband and I were re-doing our bathrooms and we paid a visit to Home Depot to check out what they had. In California there were nothing but these low flush toilets–couldn’t get the regular ones and there was an older gentleman who said he was going to Arizona to get the one he wanted; couldn’t legally buy them in California. 👿 These low flush only have a little bit of water in the bowl–sorta looks like when you flush and then flush again without letting the tank fill up, and I figured if you did something pretty nasty, it would stain up the bowl–so you use more water cleaning the bowl more often. There was this other couple there as well and I kept hearing the guy say that he flushed twice always, and he kept saying this–too…much…information! :puke: Imagine, drag0n, having a customer constantly reminding you of his flushing habits while you were explaining toilets to him. People hated these low flush things 😡 –couldn’t blame them.
Well we decided to get one of those pressure flush things from Sloan–doesn’t have the usual mechanisms in them–just a small compact unit that sits in the bottom of the tank and very little water collects in the tank–no little men in row boats when you look in there or that brown gunk on the sides. Now this toilet bowl fills up normally–no mere cup of water–and when you flush–stand back! It’s not exactly the quietest thing in the world but it does get the job done. Never tried flushing golf balls or anything else in there, but when you pull the lever, the water goes down instantly–too quickly–sort of reminds me of what an under tow would look like at the beach and it takes about 45 seconds for it to fill up–timed it once. 😆 Wow Melody–talk about water in motion! Now that would be something to draw! Talk about a challenge!
I’ll have you know that all these observations were made without the assistance of beer or any other alcoholic beverage–no funny cigarettes either. Just me being myself–doing whatever comes naturally and doing it in my own unique weird way! XD Like naturally out of it–born that way! 😈

you sound like you’ve had a few!
August 2, 2009 at 6:25 am #777987So why is there a tube with water, squirting into the overflow tube?? Now I need to know. One of you must know, don’t make me google it.

I haven’t had a drink in ages. My weirdness is natural.

My art: featherdust.comAugust 2, 2009 at 8:11 pm #777989Hmmmm… I know that little tube has a purpose… I know that it’s called the refill tube and it siphons the water from the overflow pipe if it falls in too far. I think it sucks the water down and into the fill valve (the other tube, that actually fills up the toilet with water after you flush it)
I’m not too sure, I’ll have to ask the plumbing guy 😳
