i’m not very productive. π π I just finished my 3rd PYO and 1st griffin. (the 2nd, a dragon, never got pics but was my favorite to paint and when done oh well) I’d gotten this guy for my husband to paint a year ago last Christmas, and he never did. π So I stole him, and just finished him. He was harder than I remember the wolf being, and MUCH harder than the dragon was for me! I had the idea of a snow leopard and light phase gyrfalcon being combined; this griffin happened to have yellow eyes, which I didn’t think would work with that scheme. I decided to change the basic grey/black tones of the chosen animals to buff/brown, and ended up with this. I’m no artist, but so far the few people who have seen him have liked him.
He was painted with Golden paints, and has orange and red interference. Sealer is satin finish. Pics taken outside in the sunset light; last one is inside flash.
I will take offers until Friday night July 24; if no one is interested I’ll brave the eBay fees then and put him there. I’d like at least the $40 the sculpt cost me before shipping- for that you could strip him and redo him yourself. I have safely sold/shipped Windstones before; he’ll be in his original box then double boxed with lots of padding.July 18, 2009 at 11:43 pm #776242Why would anyone want to strip him? He’s very nice! The colors are smooth, the yellow eyes and feet work very well with the scheme. I think he’s very elegant and well done.
Read my books! Volume 1 and 2 of A Dragon Medley are available now.

I agree. He’s to lovely. It would be a sin to strip him. Good luck selling him π .
