GO SEE IT! π
I just got back from the midnight showing at the theatre; the movie was fantastic ^^ my dad and I wore our cloaks (they’re freaking awesome; they BILLOW as we walk ^^ my best buy evar!) and took our wands and we were actually cheered by the HUGE line as we walked into the theatre because almost no one was dressed up this time around! I was surprised! Last time we were completely unremarkable next to everyone else. A little embarassing this time though lol I prefer to blend in with the rest of the weirdos who usually show up.
Here’s waiting patiently for the next movie!:)

July 15, 2009 at 8:58 pm #775777Im taking my family this weekend. I cant wait, even though I am not the biggest fan… my mother is. Glad to hear its worth seeing.
July 15, 2009 at 11:16 pm #775778Awesome Leigha! I went this morning before work (I work 4pm-midnight, but need to leave the house by 3pm because of the distance). I think it’s one of the best ones yet (makes up for the last two-three movies that disappointed me a bit for leaving things that could have been added in with no more than 5 more minutes time, or had some changes that just made me cringe a little (and that stupid fade in/out between EVERY scene for one movie). I really enjoyed it and loved the orchestration, so I went out and bought the CD soundtrack before work to listen to on my drive (especially track 2 “In Noctem” – which is the last song played at the end of the credits, and I believe it’s orchestration is played in the background when Dumbledore gives his speech to the students at the beginning of the year – it’s sung by a boy’s choir… I had the song on repeat for about 30 minutes). I did of course cry for the obvious part of the movie, but then again, I cried for over an hour when I read that in the book when it came out, then had to re-read the chapter, repeat a few more times with a little less crying each time.
I didn’t wear my cloak (I have one I made with a silver dragon I hand stitched on the back), but I did bring my little stuffed owl finger puppet Pigwidgeon with me. π He has a little letter rolled up and tied to his leg (since my dog tried to gnaw it off, it’s the perfect disguise!). If the midnight showing wasn’t sold out (I would have left work early to go), I would have worn my cloak and my McGonagall’s hat (the one with the pheasant feathers). I did one year and a girl turned around with her mother and said ‘Good evening Professor’. That made me happy, since no one else dressed up that night and I was feeling a bit down. π
Yes, see it if you haven’t! I’m going to see it again when it comes out in IMAX (especially if I can see it in IMAX 3D).
July 16, 2009 at 3:04 am #775779I SAW IT!!! π it was awsome! It was as good as the first one! I haven’t read the book in so long so I didn’t know if they left anything out. I think it’s better to see it and be surprised rather then disappointed… I’ll be seeing it again with my boyfriend. (he couldn’t go last night cause he had work in the morning:( )
July 16, 2009 at 3:59 am #775780It was definately the best movie out of the 6 so far imo. I didn’t cry, but only because I was a bit too tired for that much emotion. Yes I cried reading the books, and I’m sure I’d have been crying if I wasn’t so tired that night π
Any excuse to wear my cloak and I’m all over it (same with my dad, he loves it) π I bought mine and my dad’s from eBay
I am not allowed to talk about it to my boyfriend because he couldn’t and still can’t go see it and he’s jealous XD
I want to go see it again, but I don’t know anyone else who’d want to go see it with me.
Anyone in the area want to go see it with me? πJuly 16, 2009 at 4:44 am #775781my boyfriend wants to go see it…we would be up to go….with maybe a stop at a windstone store
July 16, 2009 at 4:58 am #775782π Pming you!
July 17, 2009 at 8:38 pm #775783The boyohs and I saw it and LOVED it! It is one amazing piece of film – not as dark as it could’ve been and thouroughly believable… It’s fun that my 13 year olds have turned into such film critics – seems mum has rubbed off on them a little; they have very coherent arguments and critiques! I would recommend a “Potter Marathon” before you see this one… π
