Well, last weekend was another show for Frodo. We are still battling his dropping issue, but he and the trainer managed to keep it up for the duration of the classes and he got to “relax” in between.
He ended the show with:
Double Supreme Halter Champion
Division Champion English Pleasure
Reserve Division Champion Pleasure Driving
He also took a lot of 2nd and 3rds in Western Pleasure
and he totally tanked in the trail classes. He’s doing so well and we are very proud of him. He’s proving to be versatile and is loving the extra work.
Silo is STILL pregnant and we’re hoping she’ll pop soon. My goodness she’s large! Here’s some pictures from the show. The quality isn’t great, but shows what a wonderful stallion he’s becoming!

April 14, 2009 at 8:10 pm #760126I love seeing photos of your Frodo. He’s so cute! 😀
Congrats on all the great placings!

April 14, 2009 at 9:27 pm #760128Thanks! We love him and are excited to watch him continue to grow!
He’s about 11.2 hands and has no problem carrying his rider around. It does look a bit off, but because there are rules against kids handling stallions at the shows, there’s no choice but to find tiny adults! XDApril 14, 2009 at 11:45 pm #760129I love Frodo!!! Thanks for the update!!! 🙂
April 15, 2009 at 12:25 am #760130I could look at pictures of him all day!
April 15, 2009 at 6:38 pm #760131He certainly is one good looking boy; I love the way he’s put together. I’m partial to the blues eyes, too–I have a Pinto gelding here with 2 blues. 🙂
April 15, 2009 at 8:05 pm #760132Thanks! I love the blue eyes! Post pics of your pinto Tas!

It’s easier to go to my website and look up Xanadu Shahwan—I had all of my old emails saved with the different passwords and sign-in instructions for my photoshack spot, but my aol files somehow got corrupted, and in the process of trying to restore that, all my saved emails (that I *thought* were safely saved….) were blown out. 🙄 So the website is listed over by my avatar. Shah has his own page. He’s the “Senior Citizen” of the farm at 31 years. 🙂 Maybe this will teach me to save more things to a disk in the future! 😳

Little filly was born at 11:20 April 15th! She looks just like daddy but with brown eyes! She’s just gorgeous and super active! LOL. Her barn name is Ditto as she’s the spitting image of Frodo!
I’ll post pictures when I get home!April 16, 2009 at 7:00 pm #760136Yay!! Congrats!! 😀
