well, when that happens… it’s not normal, I have been looking for my black “hohner pro harp”, my favorite one, for 2 weeks, it seems that my son somehow got a hold of it (that means he went trough my purse while I wasn’t looking), and he left it in the car, it went between the car seat and his seat.

sooo today my fiance went to the gas station to clean the car, and at this very gas station they have the MOTHER of all vacuum cleaners (it’s so powerful that it takes a can from 3 feet away), and he was cleaning the car, then he saw it… my favorite harmonica… getting sucked away…. that’s when the vacuum cleaner played the blues

and stupid him 😀 instead of going right inside the gas station to get them to open it up, he drove home and made me call them… but I got it back, filthy and slimy…. eeeewwwwwww…. thank god that I have and ultrasonic cleaner XD

Oh jeez, BRoS, what an awful thing to happen to a musical instrument! 😮 Although I am laughing hysterically at the thought of the chord-singing vacuum hose! XD I really hope that your poor harmonica cleans up well and is in good shape once again. The poor little thing!

thank you 😀 well I had to rip it apart to clean it, it took three steps

          1 ultrasonic with soap
2 ultrasonic with salt and disinfectants
3 clean with water (to get rid of the salty taste)

the only thing about cleaning them is that the sound looses personality, only once have I had worse case with a harmonica,

that was when I let my son play a tune (he’s 2.5 yrs) and I didn’t notice that one screw had fallen out, and when I looked again, it had wings 😮 that was my pocket pal 🙁 such beautiful sound, and when I tryed to bend it back I kinda broke it, but luckily I am skilled in welding so I welded the pieces together, from now on I only let him play with the crappy ones and keep the good ones out of reach
