When might we get a restock of already produced colors or new colors in curls or coils? Thanks!
January 19, 2009 at 2:04 am #749260SOON please SOON
January 19, 2009 at 3:50 am #749261I love to know to. I like to be around if and when the next batch of curls hit the store. I ALWAYS miss them when they do 🙄 !
January 19, 2009 at 5:47 am #749262Someone correct me if I am wrong… I do beleive that everything was pretty much painted before the move and since the casting department isn’t up yet… it just might be a while. I am patiently waiting for more PYO’s myself and someday Ruby painted curlies and coileds! Those would be SOOOOOO PRETTY! 8) squeek* squeek* squeek*

To the best of my knowledge, this is currently accurate. They need to get casting in full swing to make things so that they can paint them. It might be a little bit.

My art: featherdust.comJanuary 20, 2009 at 1:18 am #749264Out of curiosity..why do these little guys always so sell for so much and disappear so quickly ? I was thinking of getting one..but the prices for them even on eBay are almost what I spend on a larger Dragon. This might be more a query for members rather than Melody..but it’s in a correctly labled topic at least… 😀

I think the ones from Windstone on ebay are “artist Ed.” and the others that were in the store are going for higher than store price since there are zero in stock at the moment and no idea when there will be more. Plus some of the colors before like Emerald peacock were signed I think by Melody and those will go for a pretty penny on ebay!
The ones in the store go for $50.00 and sell FAST since they usually don’t make a lot to begin with. Mainly the new “odd ball” colors like the blue and lavender and pink. The gold, black gold and such are production colors.Well… thats my theory on the topic! LOL Anyone else wanna toss in their 2 cents? 😛 8)

If they were all rare..I guess that could explain it…I mean I finally saw a size comparison and they are tiny little guys..for around 20.00 more I could get a Fledgie..lol I don’t know just seemed odd to me.
January 20, 2009 at 1:55 am #749267Yep they are tiny in size compaired to the other dragons but people LOVE THEM!
January 20, 2009 at 3:15 am #749268I think maybe a big part of why they go so fast is not only that they’ve all been in more or less limited numbers, but that (when new in the store) they’re so comparatively cheap. Folk who may not be able to come up with $100+ for a new piece may well be able to swing that $50- or find a friend who’ll help. On top of that, their small size is a plus- makes them cheaper yet when it comes to shipping, and easier to sneak into a collection for those who play hide and seek with their partners. Size and price also would help for people who are ‘on the fence’ about dragons, or about certain colors- hey, it’s cheap, just go ahead and get it, if you don’t like it it wasn’t much and you can sell it, or for those who want to get all the colors in a single sculpt and can’t go the OW route (helps that they’re supposed to be done in ALL the production colors). Someone also pointed out that they’re a little like a collector’s club piece, since they’re only sold through the Windstone store or eBay, not retailers.

The first items we will probably start casting is the curlies, coils and fledgies. It has been so long since we’ve cast anything, that the molds will probably all have shrunken and be unusable for the larger pieces. The mold dept is getting there.
January 20, 2009 at 8:02 am #749270Maybe I’ll get one as a gift sometime then..lol
I’d rather put the money toward a Rainbow Kinglet or a Red Fire Fledgie… 😀
January 21, 2009 at 5:49 pm #749271I hope we get more new ones soon. Even if you can’t afford then they are SSSOOOO pretty to look at!!!
January 25, 2009 at 4:37 am #749272I have an idea if I do get one.. I’ll sculpt a log ( that way I can get the holes and lighting right instead having to mess with a real one ) and fill it with spanish moss. I just think it would be pretty cool to look inside and see one curled up staring back at you.. 😀
