Let’s see… Back in June I think it was, I bought 5 white dragons and a Grimalkin CL from someone in Canada for $250. White mother arrived with smashed wings, and the coiled white male (my fav of the bunch) had a little chip on his tail. He was a high gold and absolutely gorgeous. I took the mother and coiled dragon to the post office to file a claim, but had to leave both of the dragons there to do it (thank goodness I did not leave all of my dragons there, like they had originally wanted!). I wanted 75 for the mother (her full value) but only 35 for the coiled, because I wanted to fix him. I was very clear to the people there that I wanted the coiled dragon back. This was in CA. A few months later I relocated to OR with the factory.
USPS eventually sent me a note saying my proof of value was incomplete, so I sent them some more paperwork and never heard back. I got tired of waiting, finally, and called them yesterday to discover that they had sent me a check in September, but voided it because I was not at the CA location anymore (apparently, checks from USPS “do not forward to your new address like regular mail”). USPS never contacted me about the failed delivery of the check even though they had my phone number and email, and also had all the contact information of the person who sent me the pieces. After the check had been issued, the post office in CA was notified that I had been paid (but not that the payment had been voided) so they had the mother dragon destroyed, and my coiled male sent to an auction-house in MN! I am still trying to get into contact with someone at the auction place who can find out if my dragon is still there (which it almost certainly isn’t because it’s been so long).
In the meantime, anyone have a nice gold-tinted white coiled male that they would be willing to part with? 😀

That REALLY SUCKS!!December 19, 2008 at 3:00 am #746392😡 Fuck that really sucks!
😡 Are they really allowed to do that? 👿
No wonder I never wanted to leave any of the items that got damaged!
I hope you get that straighten out.December 19, 2008 at 3:11 am #746393I’m in MN. Which auction house? I’m in the Twin Cities, so maybe I can check for you.
December 19, 2008 at 4:22 am #746394Its in St. Paul. I really dont think the dragon will still be there. They hold the auctions quite frequently and its apparently been over a month since it got sent there.
December 19, 2008 at 4:26 am #746395Oh wow. I’m sorry. I’ve never heard of anything like that happening before.
December 19, 2008 at 5:19 am #746396That totally sucks!! I’m not surprized, though. I hold little faith in the USP system. I have had a few issues with them from time to time concerning damaged or lost items. The attitude I got from the was less then helpful. They just don’t care about their customers – at least that’s the impression I always got.
December 19, 2008 at 5:26 am #746397Oh my! Pam, that’s horrible of them to do! Downright rotten!! 😡 The post offic is nothing but a….GRINCH! Its like, they put forth the MINIMAL amount of effort into what they do, and when it doesn’t work out, they dont care. “OH but we did something! Its not our fault it didn’t acually work or get finished” Grrr! 😡 If I had a white coiled male, I’d send him to you. I feel aweful for what happened. I hope by some stroke of luck, you find your little golden boy :hugs: Rub the belly of one of the Lucky Llamas every day!
December 19, 2008 at 5:54 am #746398That’s a nuiscance! I hope you find another coiled male instead.
